What an absolute waste of a great game on the field. I feel for PJ.

    gabrielle mack

He threw a pick 6 even though besides that he was GREAT put they were a number of reasons they lost

    Zach

Kickers shouldn’t be able to make or break a game. So lame.

    God is King of Kings

@Zach Paid millions to miss 2…

Germane Habib

The least the Panthers organization can do is let this man start for the rest of the season. PJ Walker is our QB… 💪🏾🏈👍🏾

    Robert Patterson

@Willywizz I am not hating I want a team that can win. This team can win with proper coaching which they do not have. Everyone they say PJ should be starting is asking for more loses.

    MNfrostbite

@Boza IV Yes. I saw him play.

Bad QB’s don’t make the NFL.
    The NFL makes bad QB’s.

All QB’s, even veterans, need time to develop in a new system to be successful. Playing 5 regulation games in a new system does not represent quality evaluation of a QB. Sam has played 12 games for the Panthers and yet you claim Sam deserves a chance and not Baker.

Nothing is more difficult than learning & implementing a new system of offense. Compound that with new wonky head coach, McAdoo’s precision & timing offense, non-familiarity of playing tendencies of fellow teammates (which Sam had the advantage of), etc. It takes several games for players to get comfortable & gel together as a unit. We saw a struggling offensive line trying to play cohesively with new additions Ekwonu, Corbett & Bozeman. They started to come together in wk 4 which showed better blocking, passing & running lanes opening up, fewer sacks & fewer batted balls. We saw WR’s not completing their routes, no separation, dropped passes which steadily improved with familiarity. Baker is generally an accurate passer & yet we saw errant throws. Did he miss or was somebody not where they should be? Was it a combo of both? Was there improvement in sustained drives against the 49’ers? Panthers offense had posession of the ball 28 min as opposed to the 49’ers 30. Do you not think Baker would continue to improve even more so with a competent head coach? With all players becoming more comfortable in the system together? Wouldn’t any QB? PJ wouldn’t of had any more success than Baker in those 5 games. Nor Sam. Unfortunately for Baker, his injury was perfect timing for PJ …. his backup … learning right along with everyone else but with the advantage of familiarity with his teammates. Understand the overall picture.

Sorry for the length …. end of diatribe.

    Keon Forrest

@Robert Patterson If u want a team that can win then obviously PJ gives the panthers the best chance cuz it damn sure ain’t Baker.

    Robert Patterson

@Keon Forrest he did not last year nor has he this year. Your statement is proven incorrect. He would of beat Alt. If he could just hit 55% of his passes which he hasn’t proven to be able to do. Seem the coach is making the same mistake all the rest have. This why we haven’t had 2 winning season in a row.

    Keon Forrest

@Robert Patterson Facts are he has played better than Baker this year. Does he have aspects of his game to work on? Of course he does but all your comments are just hating on him. If you are true fan it wouldn’t matter who was out there as long as they were producing.

Chuck Billiot

Technically the penalty should’ve never been called but it don’t matter I think things will be in love the fight in our team #KEEPPOUNDING

    Sixfigas

Something tells me the kicker would’ve missed the extra point even without the penalty.

    athletic_leg3nd 24

    @Sixfigas same

Adam Huckel

please please please let PJ continue to start. keep pounding!

    Robert Edwards

He’s going to start the rest of the season

Jahaziel Kumar

David R

I’m so glad we have PJ Walker! QB1!!!! Keep Pounding PJ!

okgotit

Walker stepped up in every critical situation he was put in and was the most pro level QB this team has seen in the last 4 years with what he displayed in the last 2 games. He’s got grit and didn’t shrink when the pressure got hot. I liked what I saw from him

Moms luv zeke

Pj gotta be hurting and I completely understand

Clarence Lucas

🥂 Hell yeah! Cheers.🥂

chris p

We still NEED a qb. Can’t wait for the draft tho! Keep pounding!

    Nabila Abbasi

    No we don’t bozo

    chris p

@Nabila Abbasi yea we do. Sam is trash. Baker ain’t it. PJ just a BACKUP. That’s all he’ll EVER be. Get over yourself. We need a franchise qb. Long term. Not short.

    Fong Xiong

Forget we need a qb we need a damn kicker sheesh

Zach

Still need to see more from PJ for longer to say anything definitive, but he’s playing way better than the last two bums.

Benjamin Martinez

So many teams have lost games because of one Jerome Boger.

SIGN MAN

I been saying PJ was our guy since the Panthers picked him up! He just needs a chance!
