@sam jones Nah its not Wentz its the coaching. Wentz cant help his coaches keep calling pass plays when the defense already knows whats coming. Doug Pederson’s offensive play calling is way too predictable and defenses already know what plays are coming so they know exactly where to be and Carson Wentz has no chance at making anything happen because there is no one to throw to. Doug Pederson is the problem. The entire league knows his play calls and its easy for them to make a defensive game plan around them same sorry pass plays Doug keeps calling. Smh I wouldn’t be surprised if Wentz wants out of Philly by the end of this year. Doug Pederson & Press Taylor are gonna get Wentz killed with their sorry play calling and quarterback coaching. Wentz doesnt need to turn into the next Andrew Luck.

How can you assess Howie 2020 Wr haul when the QB has regressed to the worst QB in the league. Maybe all the Wr are studs and Wentz is making them and Howie look bad. Take Miles sanders for example, he’s a great Howie pick and he shines, why ? Because he doesn’t need to rely on a Wentz pass to look good !

@20/20 Vision Do you even know the WR list drafted by Howie? They are all busts.. only skills player relevant is Ertz. Geodert and sanders have yet to prove they can be consistent. You can blame wentz for his poor throws.. but if I use your logic.. very good wr can make average qb’s look like pro bowlers. I can list the wrs drafted.. say.. agholor, Jordan mathews, marvin mcnutt LOL, mack hollins, JJ WHITESIDE.. the list keeps going.

Now let’s talk logic, you said good Wr can make an average QB look like a pro baller but is Carson an average QB. Wentz is ranked the worst starting QB by every metric that counts.

Eric Reeder Nah I actually want Wentz to thrive we have a culture problem. I know we kept the wrong guy as the coach. Doug too soft. There’s no accountability in that locker room and it’s apparent that Howie is a bad GM. The Eagles LB Corp are nothing but special teams players. Gerry is not an NFL LB.

@Jekyll Hyde This is how i see the rest of this disaster playing out… After the Eagles get destroyed by the 49ers, Steelers, & Ravens and drop to 0-5-1 then thats when i would bench Wentz and start Hurts. No reason to get the young rookie killed by playoff caliber teams when Wentz is getting paid to do just that (beat playoff teams). I’d start Hurts in that week 7 Giants vs. Eagles game. And let him start the next three games verse Cowgirls, Giants, & Browns (3 mediocre teams that can be beat with solid defensive play). If Hurts plays better than .500 (3 or 4 wins) then i keep him in for the rest of the season. If Hurts goes 2-2 or worse I’d put Wentz back in come the Monday night Seahawks game and let Wentz finish out the season as the starter. If Wentz cant get this team to the playoffs by winning this weak divison then I’d seriously entertain trading him in the off season.
