Pete Carroll Seahawks Postgame Press Conference – Week 10 vs. Green Bay Packers

I think it’s time for Pete to move on from this team…I don’t want to sound negative but this team is too predictable on offense and there’s no excitement at all.

I mean y’all are blaming Russell and that’s how I know y’all are not real Seahawk fans. You think Russell just wanted to only throw the Moon ball. Do you think Russell wanted to run the plays pete wanted most of the game. Do y’all think Russell would not want to not give his best weapons the ball to make himself Not look good not give his best weapons his best chance the ball all of the first half. No Pete acted like he had Geno Smith out there. I mean if there’s any game to let you know you need to fire Pete it was this game. It’s simple the game plan was run the ball get stopped then force deep passes in shotgun then Russell go make some magic happen for a first down on a finger that just recovered. There was no short pass game we didn’t use the sweep motion right we didn’t use any wide receiver or running back screens. Any great Crossing routes we’re barely t h r o w n I tried to say the only reason why we beat the Jaguars last week. Is because they completely suck and our defense has got better. But our defense getting better has nothing to do with Pete I mean Ken Norton got better. But the overseer Pete I mean he’s a bad coach he doesn’t know what to do with Russell. he never has, Russell created most of his touchdowns in his career, from Pete’s Original play never working and Russell scrambling out the pocket and throwing down the field. Now Russell has played more pocket than ever and he’s getting hit more than ever. When you had reliable receivers available you played them cheap you came at them with cheap contracts and you rejected what they were worth and they didn’t want to sign. You tried to wait until other people were willing to sign them for cheaper and then match that so it look like you’re actually putting in the effort. But you know what you’re doing you want to run the ball more so you’re hurting the team to do it fire Pete Carroll. Could have had a b could have had Julio could have had obj but you don’t want to be a Super Bowl team you want to be a conservative team and the team taking risk are the teams with wins. You have failed us as a coach. If Sean Payton had the same roster we would have seven wins if Sean McVay had the same roster he would know how to use the pass game and we would have over five wins. Honestly even if Shane Waldron had complete control we would have won this game because all he needs is a third receiver but y’all wanted to force the rookie on him who barely even got in the game. I mean any other good coach with this roster would not have lost this bad this is embarrassing. It’s math y’all have the least 3 wide receiver sets in the league which means y’all play in a box so they solve that w cover 2 n give lbs freedom to tackle rbs if they see gaps. What are passing attempts if you’re not doing things to create space with your play calling.the ratio in the first half helped green bay predict what seattle was goin to do right i know it look lik we wasnt running the ball but the whole first half was 10 of those 11 attempts.then the whole 2nd half no mixxin it up jus forcing 40 passes n barely ran thats what i mean.

He needs to GO. Who do they replace him with? I dunno, but enough is enough.

It’s not complicated Pete puts us in a position to fail. It’s not rocket science let me break it down for you people who don’t understand football. So football is about being unpredictable as a playcaller I mean you can hang your hat on the pass or the run but your personnel has to match what your agenda is. We on the offensive line are better at pass blocking as a unit. The reason why Russell gets hit a lot it’s because we’re not a great pass-blocking unit just a decent one. We have the fewest three wide receiver set in the league we don’t spread the field side to side we only go deep. So what that means is most of the action is going to be right through the box. All the other opposing defense has to do it stay on top. Tyler creates separation from making the defender second-guess and D k needs more routes to make his guy Miss. So when there’s no creativity in the short pass game it eliminates the passing dimension of the game and all they have to do is focus on the Run game. Which is what they did. And the reason why you don’t want to run the ball the way Pete does it is because it eats up the clock and if it doesn’t have any creativity you’re giving the ball right back. So you’re giving their best player the ball a lot of times because you’re not getting rushing yards but you’re getting alot of predictable stops which are becoming three-and-outs. So teams are using ur strategy against you and they’re successful and they have been successful 4 years. If you get rid of Pete and let Shane take full control defenses will no longer be able to predict what you’re going to do

I haven’t been on the “fire Pete bandwagon” but I’m beginning to wonder about that.
Horrible play calling! Where are the quick passes, screen passes etc…? Also, we haven’t really invested in the offensive line for 6 years.

He wasn’t ready too play and it was poor judgement on Pete’s part to let him start. Geno had been moving the team well. Geno should have started and if he wasn’t moving the team then you could have gone to Russ. This is all on Pete and Pete has let Russ get beat up for years by a weak O line and hasn’t fixed it. Guess it’s wait til next year, Go Hawks!!!!

I disagree Pete. At the most Russ and Geno should have split the time on the field to get Russ some play time. He wasn’t as accurate today and hopefully with all the moon balls his finger recovers ok for next week. D was awesome for most of the game! Happy for Jamal! 🙏🏻Neal’s ok. Did Pete say how D Brown is? Gotta get ready for the Cardinals!

Keeping the starters out there and calling time-outs when it was over was ridiculous. This dude is washedddd.

Defense got worn down. Lacking pass protection.

Russell was obviously unnecessarily rushed onto the field for basically no reason. Inaccurate, late, taking unnecessary sacks as usual, throwing ducks deep, trying to get people hurt at the end of the game. It doesn’t matter what Russell thinks about his finger, you didn’t listen to doctors which said he was 6-8 weeks and he was out there at 5 for no reason. So many terrible decisions made this week, Geno was doing better than 0 points a game…an absolutely embarrassing showing that exposed Russell to further injury, and obviously did not give you the best chance to win.

That said, this was one of the worst called games in the NFL I’ve ever seen, ruined the game. The refs should be fired on the spot.

3-6 after 3 games w/out russ. Not that bad tbh. Russ doesnt have a rb he trust nor a #1 receiver. Team lacks a little comradeship imop. Also the NFL is fixing games via refs ear pieces like russ 1st down and holding before halftime. But plenty others.

The Seahawks played poorly all game on the offense. Next week is Cardinals. I hope the Seahawks can win!

I feel that since Wilson was gone for a few games due to his finger injury, they SHOULD have split the QB between Geno and Russ. Russ is good, but he tried a bit too hard first game back, and simply just rushed the plays, and there were multiple “butterfinger” throws/missed catches. Hopefully it’s a W next game, but I think need to maybe, MAYBE re think a few players and maybe even the coach 🤷‍♂️. Again, just personal opinions 🤷‍♂️ I’ve been a hawks fan for several years and love watching the games, but this season is just a little bit crusty and changes need to come.

I will give Pete credit for being respectful to the press after such a bitter loss.

When will the MEDIA admit that 80% of the Seahawks problems stem from an INEPT offensive line and the Front Office ignoring the offensive line issues for 8 straight years now.

Y’all really think Geno was gonna make things happen if he started? Geno would’ve been on skates in the pocket with that defensive line. He would of panic early.

No wonder DK lost it.Most of this roster are scared to do or say anything because they will be traded and blamed by the front office of being cancer to the team.On the contrary the front office and coaches are the cancerous problem now
