If Okudah were to somehow fall out of the TOP 10 I would go up & get him maybe trade CARDS for #8 like Reuter (NFL.com) was suggesting but ONLY if Okudah is available [NOT for a WR] no other player is worth going up that high for that will also possibly fall out of the top 5… that would be on an order of miraculous like the Browns passing on Chubb- TWICE! LOLH
Other than that for me it’s got to be KINLAW… if he is gone THEN I SAY TRADE DOWN in this Draft… think about it if we go down & get BEST WR available it’s going to be:
J Jefferson
Mims
Higgins
Can you honestly say that ANY OF THOSE THREE are NOT a guaranteed #2 WR to pair with Court
EVERY one of them on other teams will be their #1… so this is NOT a draft to trade UP for WR in… it’s a draft to TRADE DOWN if WR is the 1st RND pick
Consider Eagles Vikes & Packers ALL want WR… do you seriously doubt that any of those three would not be willing to trade 1’s with the Broncos to get the WR they covet the most… Pack leapfrogging eagles AND VIKES from 30- 15… they would def make that trade… same with the Vikes & if you let eagles know you are in talks with Pack you could start a bidding war…
Bottom line is we TRADE DOWN and get J Jefferson RND #1 [or Mims/Higgins] and then use the extra 2nd RND [min return for trade down plus other to be determined in negotiations] with our existing picks to then get BEST OT [very deep Class] BEST OC & BEST DL with #46 [EXTRA #2 RND] #77 … then we still can get BEST SLOT WR available at #83
… or BPA… now that would be a haul… don’t forget with all the draft capital we have THAT 1st Trade Down allows us to use the rest of the picks to re-position for the guy we absolutely want at any point… personally I believe the OT we get at #46 or better [EXTRA #2 RND] Joshua Jones, Ezra Cleveland, Matt Peart are ALL excellent players, the OC at [EXTRA #2 RND] or #46 Lloyd Cushenberry or Cesar Ruiz are excellent… then at #77 DL Neville Gallimore, Marlon Davidson, Justin Madubuike & then the SLOT guy #3 WR might even be:
Chase Claypool, Michael Pittman or speedy Quez Watkins…
THAT would be an awesome FIRST 5
If we trade with the eagles we may land J Jefferson… imagine THAT:
Gordon, Fant, Court, J Jefferson & Tim Patrick… ALL on the field at the SAME time!
2015 ALL OVER AGAIN… Court will NEVER see a TRIPLE team again
So for me the BEST scenario is we stay put for a crazy turn of events and then go get Okudah at #8… or Kinlaw falls to us at #15 which would also be very special… OR we TRADE DOWN and land a TOP 15 WR in any other draft with:
J Jefferson, Mimms or Higgins still on the board after the FIRST THREE of CeeDee Lamb Henry Ruggs & Jerry Jeudy are the TOP 3 off the board… 1 of which a team like the eagles vikes or pack with trade up to get at #15 IF we don’t get too greedy & just be happy with a #2 this year & maybe a 3rd/4th this year OR if Pack a #2 this year & #2 2021 plus exchange one of our 7th rndrs this year for their 5th this year since they are going all the way up to #15 from 30… I promise you at #15:
If Lamb Ruggs & Jeudy are all gone then GUARANTEED J Jefferson will be available 100%…
Because in the TOP 5: QB’s Burrow, Tagovailoa & Herbert are ALL gone
In the Top 10: OT’s Wirfs, Becton are gone as is Chase Young
In this scenario CB Okudah does NOT fall & neither does DT Kinlaw
That’s 8 of top 15 already selected now add in the TOP 3 WR: Lamb, Ruggs, Jeudy,
In addition to Kinlaw: OLB Chaisson, S Isaiah Simmons & Derrick Brown DL are all going to be selected as well
That’s 14 players right there!
NOW projected in the 1st RND are:
QB: Jordan Love
OT’s: Andrew Thomas, Jedrick Wills, Austin Jackson
RB: Jonathan Taylor
TE: Cole Kmet
DL: James Lynch & Ross Blacklock
OLB: Yetur Gross-Matos
ILB: Kenneth Murray & Patrick Queen [Combine Inj should not affect their value]
CB: C.J. Henderson, A.J. Terrell & Terrell Burgess
That’s 28 Players almost all of the 1st ROUND… now it’s not a debate in my mind who the 4th BEST WR is I think he is the BEST FIT for the BRONCOS: J Jefferson… so the question is where does he go in the 1st round slots after #14… so I think it’s a guarantee that trading down means either the team we trade with gets Jefferson at worse & either Lamb, Ruggs or Jeudy at best and they will be very happy with any of those 4 guys… for the BRONCOS we trade down & we might even still get J Jefferson… however if you wake up the day AFTER the DRAFT & your #1 WR is COURT & your #2 WR is either Denzel Mims or Tee Higgins… you are NEVER going to say your failure to win a SB was because of your #1 & #2 WR!
hence if Elway wants to kill this draft then he should TRADE DOWN and get at a min another #2 rndr then pick BA-WR with that lower 1st rnd pick: J Jefferson, Mims or Higgins
That will give us at a min TWO #2’s to select the BEST Available OT & BEST Available OC
Then with picks #77 & #83 we get the BEST DL & then the BEST SLOT WR at that juncture
That will be 5 awesome additions to the BRONCOS!
I have NOT finished my evaluation yet so essentially these ranking are from the mocks already posted by Walter; Reuter(NFL.com); CBS etc etc. I will have my top 5 players at each position rankings within a week or two well ahead of the draft & for alot of the positions it will be top 10… for OLINE it might be a top 25 that is how many good Ol players there are this draft… there may be 6- 7 QB’s, 10 WR’s, 10 OL, 7- 8 DL, 8- 9 OLB’s & 7- 8 CB’s taken in the 1st TWO ROUNDS! YIKES! that’s 51 of the total 64 selections… leaving 13 for: RB, TE, ILB & S… so very good draft for OL & WR the TWO MAIN positions of need for the BRONCOS! Elway should trade down & kill this draft!

The reason we signed him is because hes a dual threat, hes good at blocking and can be that option when we have 2 TEs on the field, shurmur does run a one TE offense more than a 2 te set. This will help the run game and give lock another weapon.
