Not trying to knock Scott either. Love him as part of a rotation, I kind of like Jordan Howard better in short yardage than both Scott and Sanders… But on overall skill alone, it’s Sanders, all day. Even just on a speed alone. He’s a top end talent in today’s NFL, he’d start and play the majority of snaps on probably 25/32 teams. We weren’t using him like one to start the season.
Scott and Howard have done a great job in 3 games against 2 of the worst rush in the defenses in the entire league and an average one. Sanders has been doing it for us for 2 years when healthy. It’d be super foolish to make any real changes on such a limited sample.
@Alex Ricard I like Howard in those situations too. I take your point though. It would be interesting to see what Kyle Shanahan or Greg Roman did with Sanders. He just always seems to end up on screens or end around routes that take years to develop and end up with -1 yard.
