Right. Kobe was a phenom who drafted in the first round at age 17. Jalen couldn’t keep his starting position in college, was assessed by pro scouts as a 2nd to 3rd round pick, owing to his inconsistency as a decision-maker and mediocre accuracy, and forecast to “struggle to beat NFL defenses from the pocket.” They were right.
