Seattle used up a seasons worth of “karma chips” in their first game.😖

Don’t they say this about the Vikings all the time. It’s almost as bad as what “experts” say about the Lions on a fairly regular basis. It’s their year. But in reality there is a lot of uncertainty about how the season is going to fall out. Because virtually all NFL teams are on an equal competitive level. That’s why a city like Green Bay can win multiple Super Bowl titles while a huge city like Chicago has only managed to win one and that was back in the 85/86 season. But this just emphasizes the beautiful competitive nature of the NFL. “Any given Sunday”. I watch the English Premier League every weekend and there is always some early excitement about certain surprise teams, but by the end of the season it’s usually the same six teams that are vying for the Championship. With all other European leagues you’re lucky to get 3 as opposed to the usual 2. But the reason that soccer remains compelling to the fans is all the other things that are being played for besides the league title. Many teams just fight to stay in the top league as relegation to the next lower league represents a substantial cut in revenue.
