OG Bobby Knuckles

If the niners and saints both lose next week the niners get that last spot still?

    England is my CITY

Basically the niners control their own destiny which if they win then they are in and if the saints lose, they are in. Saints are hoping for the niners to lose and they need to win in order to make it

    Donavon McCrab

Niners are 9-7 Saints 8-8 currently somebody can’t do math

    Anonymous Person

@OG Bobby Knuckles Im sorry but you asked a dumb questuon. Niners have the better record. What do you think the answer is

    Name That Variant!

    Indeed

Shannon Luciano

So Bucs may play Saints again for all we know lmao

    Refeal Ibazeta

The rams have not beaten the niners in 4 games. Just saying. And the Atlanta is better the saints.

    Rugby King

    But between Saints and 49ers

    I 100% want Saints. More familiar and I u can’t beat Taysom hillthen u don’t deserve a ring

    Arsenio Mirones

    @Refeal Ibazeta 5 games

    Fork and plate

@Rugby King 2 seed don’t have any value.

    Nick Alli

@Refeal Ibazeta then why did Atlanta lose to the bucs?

AnyomousX420

So the Eagles clinched a playoff spot as the 7th seed with the same record as the 49ers who hold the 6th seed and the Eagles were also defeated by the 49ers this season, yet the 49ers are still fighting to make the playoffs? WTF. Lol

    Name That Variant!

@J T the NFC East did the same thing last season. WFT was 7-9, and I would absolutely be okay with a 7-9 division winner not making the playoffs. It’s stupid.

    Demetrius

It’s Playoff time Baby No Moe Losing Fly Eagles Fly I Want a Rematch with Tampa Bay but a lot of team like 49ers just Win an Your In should have That Mindset anyways Going Forward Besides Don’t Need No Bye Weeks or Rest we Ready To Play

    Name That Variant!

@Demetrius you guys are 0-6 against teams with winning records, calm down

    Shron Hawkins

@Patrick Ferguson womp womp womp sounds like excuses to me……..

    Patrick Ferguson

@Colin Hogan yall lost to the giants 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️😏

J B84

How the eagles clinch n we don’t???

Niners

    Aidan Vitticore

    Conference Record

    Shron Hawkins

Learn to beat teams in your conference and keep a playoff team outta your mouth

    Anonymous Person

You need to learn to beat teams in your own conference. Eagles did

    J B84

    @Anonymous Person 🤭🤣

Sed Said

As a Cardinals fan, this is the first time I’m rooting for the niners to win

    Celso Robles

    Y? O.o

    jjgooz

@Celso Robles he wants the niners to beat the rams, and the cardinals would win the division if they beat seattle

    Jeffrey Miller

    @jjgooz Go Rams!

mrpzpdx

Fly eagles fly 🦅

newtheis

If the Saints win (vs Atlanta, which N.O. will be favored) and the 49er’s lose against LAR (which SF will be the underdog), they will both end up at 9-8 and NO has the tie-breaker against SF

    Aidan Vitticore

Yes, we all watched the video too

    Solemon Kamali

    😆

    Name That Variant!

Yet somehow we don’t have the tie breaker against Philly. Super weak.

michael fernandez

This is Why I Love the San Fransisco 49ers Report, News and Rumors . The Gift of Knowledge, Explanations and… The Man Chase Has many things covered. He’ll cover it all. Niners BABY

    Aidan Vitticore

    Had a stroke reading this

    michael fernandez

@Aidan Vitticore How can I help? Which Hospital?

Na je

So proud of my eagles I hope the saints get in the defense fought all year .

Jose Marcano

Let’s gooo Rams!!! WHODAT

FNRaw_ Flash

I routing for the Saints, I want them to play the Bucks in the first round 🤣

    Zenith Bear

Ur a Packers fan are you?

    J B84

    Haha

    EA

as a packers fan, I think I can speak for everyone and say this is the ideal matchup for us

    flyinggiraffe entertainment

The Bucks play Basketball, the BUCS play football

Marvin Norman

Perfect for Saints

    Lavar Ball

49ers beat the Rams 5 games in a row so not really

Chandler Dopp

This is the problem with a current format..

There will be a three way tiebreaker at the spot if the niners and eagles lose . All three teams 9-8, but the order would be saints

    Sammy

3 way tie niners are out

    Gordon Shumway

The nfc west is the only division in the nfc that will end the season with a winning record, barring no ties next week it will be W-40-28 E-32-36 S-34-34 N-30-37-1 and while that isn’t of that much importance in general, a three way tie with teams going after the final 2 playoff spots, against each other Saints are 0-1 Eagles are 1-1 and the 49ers are 1-0 and they’ll be the odd man out. I read it’s bc they are 3rd in their division while the others are 2’s, it’s a pretty bad rule bc it penalizes a team for playing in a better division but also bc the Saints didn’t beat either team and the 49ers didn’t lose to either..

    Anonymous Person

How would you suggest to create a tiebreaker that can calculate for the difficulty of divisions and still be universal enough to be used every year as to not confuse fans?

inn news

Go 49ers. You can win against the Rams and be in the Playoffs.

Bobby Zvitkovitz

Can anyone confirm or correct me about why the Eagles needed the 49ers to win to clinch the playoffs?

Eagles 9-7
49ers 8-8 (if lose)
Saints 8-8
This could end in the same 9-7 3-way tie that could still potentially happen… however, in this scenario the 49ers beat the Rams, and the Eagles are losing to the Cowboys, giving the 49ers the divisional tiebreaker above the Eagles.

NOW, since the 49ers won, if they beat also the Rams then Eagles have head-head tiebreaker over the Saints…
OR, in the 3 way tie they have the divisional tiebreaker over the 49ers

    Job Martin

    This is exactly right!

    Anonymous Person

They didnt. They just needed to win if Minny won (which they didnt) or hope Minny loses

Luca

What happens if 49ers Saints and Eagles gets 9-8 after week 18?

    Shron Hawkins

Bro….really Eagles already clinched it’s up to the other two for that last spot.

AM Reilly

Why is watching Kornacki nerd out over numbers and touchscreens is so satisfying?

M Burns

This guy is a one-trick-pony. We’ve been seeing his thing since the 2020 elections. Next trick?

EJ

If the niners lose they’ll also need the Saints to lose for them to get in the playoffs

    Donasium

    ye

Name That Variant!

Love how we beat the Eagles and they clinch a spot before us with the same record as us. Would love to see them play in the NFC West and not get 4 games against Washington and NY every season.
