I feel like Ben Niemann doesn’t get enough credit. He played 36% of snaps in the regular season which doesn’t sound like a lot but given the LB by committee approach we kind of took at times that is enough to be a significant part of a defense. He doesn’t make the big splash plays but he seems to get guys on the ground and we can always count on him to know his assignment. I’m not upset if he gets a larger role this season. He’s good at his job in the capacity in which we use him: 70% ST snaps and >50% Def snaps. In my opinion of course. That being said I’d love a day 1 LB in the draft to help supplement that room

Neimann can tackle, if he gets there. Him and Dirty Dan Sorenson lack speed, but are sure tacklers.

I think from my opinion, Veach values some positions worthy of a 1st round pick, and some not. QB, OL, DL, CB, LB as worthy. Now if there is a player they really like that breaks that mold, maybe they do. I could see them taking WR Mimms to groom under Sammy for a season, and be a similar WR type. The real value in the draft though is in the 2nd and 3rd round, so I hope we trade down, especially considering at 32, most teams don’t have but maybe 20 guys with a 1st round grade. As for WR, every WR in football is going to want to come to KC. Take advantage of that to get Sammy’s replacement by cherry picking the street for a value. Draft should attack OL, LB, CB, CB, S

I think its pretty obvious at this point that a season will not happen. For the season to happen the league has to get to a point of no testing required and play as long as there are no symptoms.
