@V 23 For sure. Mariota has some “clutch gene” in him without a doubt. He mounted one hell of a comeback two year ago. He makes smart plays sometimes.

He’s a great dude, but I honestly don’t see him as a Starter in the league anymore. Maybe for a season on a team like the Bears on a earn it type deal. Any team would take him as a back-up though. Every year there are more great QB’s in the league. There used to be like 4 or 5 elite QB’s spread out on different teams, and then a pretty good drop off. There are still some elite QB’s, but now there are also really good ones, then good ones, and now only a few teams don’t have atleast a QB with potential, and even those teams are trying to get in line for them in the next couple years. As much as i like Mariota as a person, looking back at the team they had to start the year and their weapons on Offense and their great O-Line….he should have played better. I think guys like Mariota, and Tyrod Taylor are perfect back-ups. Class human beings on and off the field, don’t come with a huge ego, are willing to help others learn…. they both have years of Starting experience and will be ready when called upon….but they aren’t starting material, except on really bad teams that are trying to fill a hole until they find their Franchise QB. Both could start on bottom dwelling type teams, but that’s about it.
