SpoiledAphid Does Everything

Ian book how you forgot the only rules for 2 minutes drives no sacks lol

SpoiledAphid Does Everything

Abram smith looking scary 30 yards with only 7 attempts

    A Lightworker

@SpoiledAphid Does Everything if he doesn’t get cut and gets a second chance. He score there he’s good to go

    HeadKicks&HailCalls

That fumble wasnt his fault… He would have been down of his legs werent on top of the guys he had just ran over πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ That was just a heads up play by the defense.

    SpoiledAphid Does Everything

    @HeadKicks&HailCalls yep

    A Lightworker

@HeadKicks&HailCalls guess being on top of bodies is a reasonable excuse to not protecting the ball knowing the defense will try to strip it

    HeadKicks&HailCalls

@A Lightworker The ball wasnt stripped… It was punched out. It was less a result of his inability to protect the ball, and moreso the defense’s ability to recognize that he was held up off of the ground. If he was holding the ball loosely, it would have came out on the initial contact, which would have been a deficiency on his part. Once the ball came out, he could only stretch his arms out because the rest of his body was smashed in the pile, and still couldnt reach the ball. LITERALLY nothing else he could have done.

JoshuaStar77

As a saints fan, we played well, but I’m just glad we got Winston and Dalton because Ian is not good yet. He got going in the end, but really struggled in the 1st half.

    JoshuaStar77

If Winston played like he played in 2021, we will be in a great position

    The Yugoslav

To be fair, Tre dropped a TD from a well placed ball by Ian.

    parish

Book will probably never be good enough to be a backup in the NFL. Doesn’t look like he has it.

The Real Gaming Export

I just low-key sad Taysom isn’t on the QB roster. 😭

    Nick Casperson

He still wears a Red QB jersey at training camp so he is our emergency QB

    graintrain

That is actually a no contact jersey

Samson Chung

Trevor Penning is too slow for LT

bryan irvin

Dennis pick Andy Dalton or k.j. Costello in the next game

Trey J. Mollo

Chase Hanson came to play ball tonight. Was not expecting him to come out swinging like that

    maxwellhowell

He just needed snaps! And not being injured helps

jtdavis62

Our defense is going to be a monster this season and will probably carry the team.

    Chris Mathers

If Jameis can play like last season, the Saints offense will score a lot of touchdowns

    graintrain

Yeah and you saw it here. Dalton and the starting oline just marched downfield

    Dani Nsubuga

Our offense will be elite.. Andy Dalton made it look easy.. Defense looked amazing tho..

Shemor Nelson

I hear a lot of talk about Ian. I wasn’t able to watch the full game guys due to work. Can someone please let me know what’s going on as far as what he needs to improve on. Or what went front during the game?

    Sade Martinson

he takes reads wayyy to slow a lot of the time, he seems to miss spots especially high, he had a hard time holding the ball it seemed he had 2 dropped/sloppy snaps, pocket presence seemed okay but when he takes that long to throw then he ends up putting himself in tough spots a lot. he is super young still but he definitely looked very very raw and nervous out there to me personally

    A Lightworker

doesn’t climb the pocket. Passing is irratic and I don’t believe he will transition from college to Pro well.

    Eric The Intern

I see no hope in him this is the best he is going to be tbh

    EralesMan

He also had too little time to throw, the pressure on the left side was always there it seemed, he has to be able to overcome it and check it down with accuracy but I can’t blame him completely

King Hudson

Guys y’all are making too much of a big deal about this first preseason game. The goal is to be ready by the regular season and we’ve had a great camp. Saints will be fine. Trevor will be fine. Not sure if Book will be here. Trust the Process.

Eric The Intern

Ian book is trash I don’t think he can reach his limit and surpass his ability to play a whole lot better this is the best we are going to get from him

HeadKicks&HailCalls

None of Abram Smith’s runs made the highlight?!?!?! Seriously?!?! That dude was averaging 8 ypc before Book sold him out on the screen pass behind the line, and he STILL made positive yardage out of it! Don’t do that man like that!

dbsti 300

1:21. I forgot that Dalton can actually scramble. He’s pretty fast for his size too.

SwampSaint57

Chase Hansen is that dude 😀

Brody Kyrie

Well done we will get ”em next time

Camron Brown

Saints got pretty good depth

teeaa3

I like the vibes forget the loss

bobespnza - LA

Excited for Andy Dalton as a backup!

bobespnza - LA

That diving interception is excellent flexibility!

PowerNapProductions

P. Adebo may be the Saints best corner by the end of this season. Dude gets better every time he touches the field.
