    Agreed. Patton hired a coach who wanted to run a certain system. Then Patton went out and signed a QB who can’t run his new coach’s offense. Ultimately, this is on Patton. Mistakes happen. We’ll see if Patton can make the tough decisions to correct those mistakes.

    @Urdonkey  Yeah….but let’s not lump Carr in with Russ. Carr has thrown 18 td’s vs 7 picks and is completing 63% of his passes. Not to mention that the Raiders scored 20 points or more 9 times in 11 games. Denver would be at least 7-4 with Carr at QB.

Every post game presser and every practice presser sounds like a very broken record. It’s like we are watching GROUNDHOG DAY every day. Hacketts Greatest Hits. Vol Infinity. Ownership group should be licki g their chops to rid our team of Paton, Hack, and the entire staff .

What does that mean, exactly? “We, as coaches, have to be better.” What does better look like? How does a coach “get better”? What things should we expect to see next week that we didn’t see this week as demonstrable evidence of “getting better”? What kind of metric, what kind of evaluation can we, the press/fans, use to gauge whether you coaches are, in fact, “getting better”? When will some of these reporters start asking some real questions instead of just nodding at cliches?

I actually feel bad for Hackett. It must be extremely stressful to be in his shoes right now! This mess is not 100% his fault! The failure is on the ENTIRE offense. QB, O-Line, receivers, RBs, and Coaches.
