@NPC I agree to an extent. Our D front is superb, but we could definitely use a well rounded guy like him in the back

He’s a great fit. He’s a typical Steelers LB, and is a great match with Devin Bush. With Flores coaching the LB’s, and Myles as a mentor for Devin, we are gonna get the best out of these guys. Great middle LB play is always the key to the Steelers playing elite defense. With Myles, and Tuitt back this yr, coaching, talent, and depth, this D is about ready to be, and stay elite all season. Excited to see how we close FA and the draft, and finish out this roster! Go Steelers! We’re back!!🔥🔥

We need a stud no. 1 CB that can turn out to be a Ramsey or Gilmore for us. Maybe we can find a steal in the draft who knows.

@Hunter Haas Yes, if not addressing in FA, we really need a #1 corner, a SS, a #1 LT or RT, not to mention we are now short 2 WR’s, and need a strong RB2. Hopefully we use cap space for like 3 more FA, and complete the rest in the draft. Confident we are going into the season strong! We have and can create enough cap to sign 3 good FA’s if we’re trying to compete right now, and we should go get them.
T- Armstead or La’el Collins
SS- Mathieu or Landon Collins
CB- Gilmore or draft
WR- FA & draft
DT- another quality starter to dominate run D once again
QB?- mobile, talented Willis as a 2nd option w/ Trubisky to backup & develop, or pass.

@chris ayres well when someone writes an essay degrading a player’s performance instead of supporting their new player I tend to worry about their mental health…

@TheHoundGamer “degrading”, if that is how you interpreted my comment-i apologize for it’s content, but i was just shocked, BECAUSE WHEN THE SIGNING WAS ANNOUNCED I WAS ECSTATIC BECAUSE I HAD THOUGHT MYLES JACK(BY NAME) WAS A BIG TIME PLAYMAKER, who was also a solid/dependable lb…but when i looked at the numbers, i couldn’t believe what i saw(i mean pff which i can’t stand has him with a 2021 grade of 37.7, joe schobert had a 52.2), now 37.7 is “degrading” so do you worry that the people at pff have mental health concerns..jk(but seriously)…i hope that myles jack is what the organization(which is a lot smarter than me) is 100, and jack is what schobert wasn’t but as i stated in the original comment i think a lot of that depends on whether tuitt is lined up in front of him(because it doesn’t matter if you have a 2016 ryan shazier or a 1997 ray lewis, without tuitt or someone in front of them, they are still not going to be able to stop the run)…btw thanks for your concern of my mental health, but i’m fine;), put those worries to stephon tuitt’s health and if your a steeler fan pray that he is ok and back in black and gold, cuz this team is goin knowhere unless #91 is back

@chris ayres oh boy here we go again… homie go get some help please🙏 it’s YouTube… the point is to encourage players and welcome them onto the Steelers. Not “investigate their flaws”. The guy was playing on the Jags who had the worst NFL season last year. Do you expect him to destroy trans while his own can’t even score a touchdown? He’s still a top 10 linebacker in the NFL on one of the worst teams in the league. Him with our defense will be nasty. Encourage and welcome him… don’t do the opposite.

@TheHoundGamer ok i will bury my head in the sand(and not just go to pro football reference and spend 10 minutes tops looking up the numbers) and in my last post i stated “i hope that myles jack is what the organization(which is a lot smarter than me) is 100, and jack is what schobert wasn’t”….btw if myles jack is a top 10 lb, where does joe schobert rank because they both came into the league in 2016(each have played on one winning team-schobert last year with steelers and jack in 2017 with jags), yet in each season, schobert’s stats(both basic and splash) TOWER OVER JACK, i mean it’s not even close, in 4 different seasons schobert has put up plus 130 tackles and in each of those seasons had more splash plays than jack in the same amount of games(i mean there careers mirror each others)…i always want to be encouraging(i mean i’m not calling the guy a bum), but i also want to be real and temper expectations, because as i said b4, when the signing of jack happened i was ecstatic because i thought that he was potentially a top 10 ilb, but like i said based on production in the exact same career situation as joe schobert has not put up the numbers, which i guess is why the steelers gave schobert a 51 mill/5 year deal in 2021 and jack only a 16 mill/2 year deal in 2022….they obviously have the same numbers that i have and the point i’m making is that it doesn’t matter if it’s jack or schobert, bush or spillane, unless stephon tuitt and alualu are in front of them it aint gonna matter!!!!!

@chris ayres u don’t need splash plays bro . He cuts off guys easily and he covers well where he is in position for the int so the qb don’t throw it . Sometimes u don’t need splash plays at all but ur impact . That dude is a real good player at the middle we haven’t had that in awhile , bush rookie season was good after that injury he needed time to get better now we got two fast backers

@Shaun Beck have you seen anything that hints that tuitt will be back in 22, i know colbert(who will no longer be a steeler employee after the draft) stated that “we expect him back for camp(2 months ago)”….but he still has not been back to the facility in the last 15 months(day after the browns playoff loss) and has there been any publication that has mentioned his conditioning/workouts that he is currenty doing….as of 3/1/22, tuitt still has only expressed “a desire to return to football(but that was 5 months ago)” but nobody has had reported personal contact about his potential playing status since the season ended….also i was excited when the steelers signed jack as well until i looked at the numbers at pro football reference and i couldn’t believe that schobert has had better numbers in every category by a signifcant margin in each and every season and they both came into the league in 2016, have both played on the same amount of winning teams(which is one)…it was shocking to see how similar their career’s are, but how different their numbers(both splash and routine) are(jack season high tackle number is 118, schobert has 3 seasons of 130 plus tackles and in every one of those seasons produced more “splash(ff,fr,int,pbu,sack)” plays as well…one last alarming stat for jack is the fact that he had a grand total of zero “splash” plays in 919 snaps last year(almost impossible to not just luck into one of those), while schobert had 8 in 921 and most people would agree that schobert had a less than stellar 2021(yet his pff was 52.2 to jack 37.7)…james farrior was an onball/strong side lb, while jack plays off ball/weak side and i hope this isn’t right but jack has more of a chance to be another mark baron or joe schobert than james farrior UNLESS STEPHON TUITT IS BACK IN 2022

@chris ayres wow, interesting on the production. Crazy how hyped thus move us then. Haven’t heard anything on Tuitt recently either. With the draft around the corner, gotta be something soon. W/o him we need to draft a replacement.

Don’t sleep on James Daniels. He’s young as well and also very well proven. Both guys have the potential to be hallmarks of the Steelers for years
