Lance Baer

Glad to have this amount of talent in the QB room

    MEEPS Sports

    Facts

    Leeedy 1

Take away Kenny Pickett, our QB room is the worst in football

    Lance Baer

@Leeedy 1 Daniel Jones tyrod Taylor and Mike Glennon.
Justin fields Nathan Peterman and Trevor siemian

Drew lock geno Smith Jacob Eason.
    Not even close
And you cant just say remove a first round talent then compare to the rest of the NFL doesn’t make sense most teams have a first round talent in their room remove them they are nothing So say take out desmond Ritter and the falcons have a poor QB room. Similar situation. You leave a second overall that got fucked over and has something to prove with a bunch of talent around them

    Leeedy 1

@Lance Baer Tyrod Taylor is not that bad

Andy

The qb situation for the steelers has never been such a talented question mark

    Issiah Mortley

    Trubisky will start

    Andy

Yeah I agree, I think you have to

    naz salabarria

Said so eloquently! I would feel more comfortable with mason gone.

    Jared Bowers

Any team losing their hall of fame franchise qb would kill to be in the situation were in. Trubisky is a proven winner with a horrendous head coach and Pickett (small hands excluded) has the versatility to make it in this league. On top of all that the defense will be healthier and the o-line has improved. If the Steelers go 10-7 or 11-6 I wouldn’t be shocked

hyroller 80

Excited to see Mitch get a legitimate chance with a real team. He seems comfortable and ready to be the leader of the offense. Hope it works out for him and the Steelers.

    Leeedy 1

@Edward Peraza Any QB could’ve made the playoffs with that 2018 bears team.

    Benny Jeters

    @Leeedy 1 BOOM!!!!!

    Anthony Jarrah

@Leeedy 1 Since 2018 Mitch Trubisky has 2 playoff appearances and a Pro Bowl to his resume with a 25-13 record which is 5th best among active NFL QBs with a minimum of 25 starts. That does not suck. He should have beaten the Eagles in that playoff loss when his FG kicker missed with a double doink. That same Eagles team went on to win the Super Bowl that year.

    Leeedy 1

@Anthony Jarrah ok first of all the Eagles didn’t win the super bowl that year Cody Parkey do inked the FG, and 2nd: 12 of those wins were because he had an elite team around him on both sides of the ball including the best defense.

    James Overby

I truly believe Mitch is going to show up and soar in this Steeler offense. He hasn’t had the weapons on offense in Chicago like he has Now im frm North Carolina a huge tarheel fan ive actually seen his wrk very accurate win hes mobile cnt wait

Shango

I honestly think Mitch is starting this year

    Benny Jeters

@Leeedy 1 blunt?!! Blunttttt?!? Boom!!!! You think Pickett is even a legit QB is laughable. You deserve to not be taken seriously

    Leeedy 1

@Benny Jeters you must be 11 lol

    W. Dearth

@Benny Jeters Apparently you know something all of the executives, head coaches, owners and draft gurus don’t. You’re one of “those” people lol.

    Threezy's World

@Benny Jeters I’m trying to tell these clowns that by the time Trubisky was Pickett’s age he had already lead his team to the playoffs and made a pro bowl, IN THE NFL. Meanwhile they have all the confidence in the world Pickett because at that age he was in his FIFTH year in college, beating up on teenagers. One is proven in the NFL the other’s success (in college mind you) is dubious.

michael stello

mitch is alot better than people give him credit – i think we will be fine with him

    SneakGangWatHappend? 412

Look at all these comments, everyone gives him tons of credit….. I think I’m the only one who’s not excited to have a backup qb at best as our starter

Steven Orsini

Great attitude. Good pickup.

Indigochiznathaniel 11/11

That’s my Quarterback 🥲😭

MattyMack

Man I really like Mitch. He seems ready to be the guy for a few years imo. Hope he succeeds with the opportunity he’s given

LM

Best guy wins the starting spot. They’ve got several with unique individual strengths, which is great to have that kind of depth.

Ulric Diggs

I love the fact that all the experts are sleeping on the Steelers. There is a lot that’s still unknown and a lot to prove but, this is a truly exciting group so far. I’m not saying they’ll be the best but I definitely don’t think they’ll be the worst. Time will tell.

    Lu Boi

All the fans are to. It’s sickening

watson graham jr

I want Mitch as or starter…he speaks like a leader and starter

    Threezy's World

I’m pissed Bears let him go. The guy is basically the same as he was in Chicago, minus an idiotic fanbase looking for any reason to jump all over him.

    vito faiello

    @Threezy’s World yup

    Threezy's World

@vito faiello Bro because people are like “Mitch is so improved”. No. He was really good when he was on the Bears. The problem here was virtually the rest of the offense blew, as well as the head coach.

People were trying to say that last preseason when Bills blew the Bears out. I’m like “um, that IS the same guy who threw for 6 TD’s against TB. The same guy who had a MONSTER game versus Tom Brady, etc” Mitch ALWAYS stepped it up when needed. Blowing out Chicago wasn’t because he had gotten better, it was because that was a big game for him and he wanted to make a point.

Cody G

There’s no reason to keep mason on the team. Have Mitch , Kenny and Chris. Chris is 100 times cheaper. Kenny was taken in the first round for a reason. Let Mitch start and evaluate around week 4-6 and if Kenny is ready start him or if Mitch is doing well let him ride it out and let’s go win #7

BlackSapphireE90

Bears fan here, glad to see our boy Mitch (most likely) as a starter with a fresh start. Hope he takes you guys far. Admittedly, he’s gonna have a lot of deeper competition in the AFC, but rest assured, Steeler nation y’all got a good one.

Sincerely,
One of the few Bears fans who still supports him. Bear Down.

    vito faiello

Me too mitch will thrive under good coaches. People that are not bears fans don’t understand how much Nagy really hindered him and how bad Nagy sucked.

    diegoruln

I think Mitch has the attitude to come back, he’s not arrogant, good teammate, as a Steeler fan I believe the coaching staff will help him a lot. You Bears got a good kid in Justin Fields, he just needs a better coaching staff to thrive, he showed against us what he can do

    vito faiello

@diegoruln I think so as well Pittsburgh is one of the perfect places he could have ended up I think he’s gonna do well

J Ellis

Huge possibilities for this new season. Stronger defense, badass running back, and a mobile qb with a decent passing game!!

Virdin Barzey

I remember when the Bears took Mitch in the draft. I was like, Mitch who? Over Watson, over Mahommes, over Allen? Are you people nutz?!! Well, here we are and guess who is the starter for our Steelers? Yup. Mitchburg. You can’t make this stuff up folks. I sure hope he lives up to the #2 pick overall. This is his one shot and he has to make this one count. I’m rooting for him.

Seems like we don’t believe he is going to be the franchise QB like he was drafted to be. I however want to see Mitch keep Pickett on the bench. He has a lot to prove.

Nick Milito

Perfect situation!!! Mitch has a great opportunity to prove himself as a QB1 this season. With good coaching, good talent around him on a stable team there will be no excuses and no wondering what if. Things work out, great for the Steelers, if they don’t Kenny is waiting in the wings after watching and learning for a year. How is this not a perfect situation?

Eric Sinclair

Can’t wait to watch Mitch light up the nfl this year. So excited for this young man. Wish you the absolute best

Craig Shoenfelt

It’s about freak’in time they started getting some decent talent, besides when we had Rothlesberger, because prior to that it was bad…

IM Hilweh

He took a Bears team that was down to the playoffs twice in 3 years. That’s pretty impressive

Devin Norbert

I can’t wait to see him play
