It’s only week 1 first game jitters give him a chance we got the W he didn’t make any stupid mistakes or cost the game nd tht counts !! I believe in Mitch

    Montre

@ErrL thankyou ppl judging too quick it’s only week 1

    Montre

@TheHoundGamer a bruh new team he finally get to start again playing for a winning organization replacing a HOF QB , we done lost to the bengals twice last year tht never happens that’s a lot of pressure alone he got the job done no picks no fumbles let him get his feet wet that’s all bruh

    KB

    @TheHoundGamer relax lol

    TheHoundGamer

@ErrL Bro we would’ve lost this game too if the defense didn’t get 5 turnovers… the offense looked arguably worse this year than last 😭

    TheHoundGamer

    @KB 🤓

Jimmy Slim

Mitch needs to hit on his deep throws to back up the defense and open up the run game. He can have his short rinky dink passes but hitting the deep shots is critical. Going three and out is going to wear the defense down and get players injured.

    Joe Brown

The bengals were in the super bowl they have a superbowl defense, nobody can throw deep balls on that dee . they held the Rams to how many pts ? 23.

    caspa021

That’s Mitch’s biggest issue. Deep throws. Deep throw accuracy. He’s good when he can move around and take the short and mid throws the defense gives up. That’s his best game unfortunately… From a bear’s fan

    Jimmy Slim

@caspa021 I’m hoping Kenny Pickett gets in there no later than game 5.

    Jimmy Slim

@Joe Brown Trubisky looked like a backup in that game and that’s what he will end up being for the rest of his career.

johnny b

Gotta hand it to Mitch, he would have hit Freiermuth if the Bengal hadn’t grabbed him by the waist and pulled him down. Just an ignored PI by the ref who’s head was 12 feet away from the play and at eye level to the PI. Black glove wrapped around a white jersey must have been hard to miss at that distance.

Adam Van Dinter

Mitch speaks very well, can see why he was voted captain by the guys. These adjustments should be a great start can’t wait to see what they are able to deliver on. D is gonna hold it down until TJ gets back and if we can start rolling on offense we’re looking pretty good.

    Ellie Gonzales

People are giving him a really hard time, but dude just got to the Steelers. He doesn’t have the chemistry Ben did with Dionte, ju ju and other guys that had been there. If he doesn’t improve by October though Tomlin needs to decide if he’s going to give up on the season or go with Pickett and see if he can get this team to the playoffs.

    Adam Van Dinter

@Ellie Gonzales You’re totally right, he’s still learning. Not only that but he’s seeing and saying all the right things to move in the right direction. I’m as excited for Kenny as anyone, but I think we have a lot of good football that we can play before that.

    Ellie Gonzales

@Adam Van Dinter Yes. Like I said people give him a hard time when he is playing the most difficult position on the field…it’s not like a running back that can just play on any team as his role is simple. Trubisky is a pretty good QB, he just needs a little time.

Steelmanfan1111

If the offense didn’t go 3 and out over and over again, TJ wouldn’t have had to injure himself. 😤

    James Jay

8 punts I believe. I don’t want to watch that kind of game.

alfredo arellano

Idk if it’s because Ben was so immobile and always going with short and screen passes that seeing Mitch move around the pocket and actually taking shots to the middle of the field made me happy and felt like Mitch had an okay game. I see a lot of hate for Mitch’s first game and I feel it’s undeserving and we need to give him more time to get it going.

    Reginald Tucker

I receivers except Johnson can’t get open. They won’t continue on routes. I don’t know who to blame coordinator-scared qb- no wide out separation 😕.

    Terry Dixon

That man threw 38 times for a 190 yards and should’ve had an easy int that the Bengal player dropped. Different team, same old song.

    CZECH MATE

I didn’t see many passes over the middle? Next Gen stats: 3 pass att over the middle and one completion. Funny I don’t blame Mitch I blame Canada. He had Pickins running Go routes the whole game!? I hope he opens up the middle for Calvin Austin III when he’s healthy.

    hella rizz

    @nik sullivan 😐

    hella rizz

@Mike Jones garbage team?? Only thing garbage was the oline

Tony Rogo

I agree it’s only 1 week and to give Mitch more time. With that being said Kenny is the future and looking forward to when he eventually starts.

    Joe Brown

Kenny won’t beat out Mitch because Mitch is a baller .The Rams had the best offense, 7 sacks, 2ints and only got 23pts on the Bengals in the Superbowl. Mitch drove the team up the field twice in OT into field goal position boswell msd the 1st att, the Bengals has a Superbowl defense they beat Big Ben 41-10 back in November how soon we forget.

    El Nino

@Joe Brown Mitch is a baller??? HAHA HA HA HA HA

    Jamey Summers

@El Nino Ha ha ha ha!! No, Mitch is NOT a baller….Ha ha ha ha….

    Terry Dixon

Kenny can’t be the future at 30 years old he’s already 24, how long do he sit????

    Tony Rogo

@Terry Dixon This is the tricky part.. so there’s several good QBs coming out in the draft next year. I figure the Steelers wanna know what they got with Kenny for sure. Totally a guess but I think we see Kenny play this year at some point unless Mitch can actually take the Steelers pretty far in the season and possibly playoffs.
Of course Tomlin only knows when that time is and obviously they know way better then us when that is.

BobbyStatic

I like Mitch, I believe he can click. He just needs to time to settle in with this offense. Hopefully our o line can keep him and Najee healthy

d1shon

I feel like if he would of ran a lil more that would of kept the defense off the field .He has that in his arsenal… But was trying to be a passer at times where he could of ran and picked up the 1st. I think he will get better tho

Mike Elek

The offense never seemed to have any kind of rhythm vs. the Bengals. I think Matt Canada called a poor game and didn’t appear to make any adjustments in the second half. Mitch did OK with what he was given.

Anthony Dela Cruz

He just needs to trust the recievers and the routes. Ben was a master at the timing passes. On those scrambling plays our receivers will get open especially Dionte.

JMJArkansas1973 NewYork

The offense is in transition. This was Mitch’s first real game in the steelers offense. It is going to take time for all the offenses pieces including Canada to work together well. It will take time for hopefully that it all comes together on offense. Their struggles were no surprise to me with them being in transition. Mitch did mostly what Tomlin wanted from his first real game as QB. He took care of the football and made plays at times. I’m sure Tomlin wants to see him improve some each game but he did not do anything to lose the job based on how Tomlin looks at it and how he does things

R C

Gotta like Mitch. A bunch. If our O-Line gets in order he could truly break out and show some good stuff. Keeping hopeful.

    Menes D Wise

Lmao. He overthrew wide open receivers with plenty of protection. He is who we thought he was.

    Joe Brown

@Menes D Wise Back in November big ben got blown out 41 -10 by the bengals super bowl defense. Mitch beat a super bowl team his first time on the field as a Steeler.

    Menes D Wise

@Joe Brown , Ben sucked too in his last three years. Our offense sucked then as ot does now. No excuses!

    Terrance Pickens

mitch is not a good qb

SirSLIMRICKY

Mitch watches film and I love that he sees EXACTLY what he needs to work on.

    Paladin

Bailing from the pocket too quickly and therefore throwing very few passes when he should be throwing?

Owen Johnson

Mitch! You’re the man brother keep at it.

sean downey

He definitely knows he could be better and knows people are critical of him.
1st game jitters have to be over, there is way to much talent for him to work with.
The Oline just needs to keep improving.
Can’t be on the goaline 3 times and only have 1TD.
Great win ! Just keep moving forward.

RANS87IROCZ

Hey them final minutes in OT was clutch Mitch! I’m pretty sure you followed coaching game plan pretty much entire game until that final drive! And when the game was on the line with about a minute to go? And no time outs! You was perfect to get Boz 1 more chance! That speaks volumes to me! As well as? No turnovers!

caspa021

bear’s fan here… Mitch definitely wasn’t the problem in Chicago. this dude can play. is he great? no… struggles a lot. but he’s a winner too. he’s a rollercoaster 🎢 but I root for the guy I’ll be honest.

martinsane

Mitch looked fine. He talks the talk in these press conferences and as he gets into the groove his walk will get better and better. Be careful not to sleep on him, he is going to shock the #fakefans I guarantee.

    Menes D Wise

You lost me at Mitch looked fine. Not going to read thr rest of your statement.

Matty C's Guitar Life

I love Mitch. He is a leader, owning up to his mistakes and what he could of done better and not placing any blame. Mitch… 🤘🤘🤘🤘. I believe we have 2 AMAZING QBS this year. And I love both of their styles and just the fearless leader quality they both carry.
