Matt Eberflus reviews the tape from Week 11 | Chicago Bears – FANTASY FOOTBALL FAN SITE
Alex H

MAN… would have LOVED to be a fly on that wall to hear what was said in regards to the “not so good” plays… Although the tape never lies and I already have some theories… TTNL rocks!

    Shawn Reece

@Alex H Why was it a run Period HB or QB?

    Alex H

@Shawn Reece good Q no answer from me… only can theorize that their pass pro is so bad they felt more comfortable with a run play..?

    Shawn Reece

@Alex H That’s possible but in those situations, when they preach trust the process they need to trust who they have out there since they have them out there..For some reason they trust mustipher every damn week and he’s HORRIBLE LOL

    Alex H

@Shawn Reece Amen brother he is the 36th ranked center (some back ups better than him… and his 0.85 RAS is second worst in all of NFL right now…) At this point, they should give Dieter Eislen a try until Lucas Patrick comes back…

    Shawn Reece

    @Alex H 💯

Raymond Suggs

The future is going to be bright for the Bears under the leadership of Coach Flus. He knows the Whys and so organized and detail oriented.

    Amahd Cole

Yeah we have enough cap space and have seven draft picks for next year

    Jacob Howland

Nagy is still tryin to figure out the whys 🤣

    CoffeeNBears

    Keep telling yourself that lmao

    Logiquol

JF1 is single-handedly making this team look better than it should be. I’m trying to stay optimistic but until this organization proves otherwise it’s hard to say anything is bright right now. Draft picks and cap space don’t always make a terrible team good. If we miss on a few picks this offseason we are in for yet another long rebuild process.

    CGx91

Oh you’re at practice? You’re there every day? No then stfu

Funkbringer

I wish the Bears as an organization would send into the league an actual compilation of how many times Justin has been screwed on the hit after he’s down calls… They would HAVE to do something after seeing that, NO?

    Shorsey Letterkenny

Also on the defense side. Soo many “defensive holding” or PI’s that aren’t PI’s. Kyler Gordon got flagged twice for nonexistent penalties -holding and roughing the passer

    Tyler Mason

@Shorsey Letterkenny The PI thing has been dumbfounding

That would be my biggest complaint next to protecting my QB
But we saw it with Lamar and Newton
Running QBs don’t get the calls

Jesse Watson

Our reporters are ridiculous.

Amahd Cole

Eberflus knows what he’s doing it takes time because their not enough talent on both sides of the ball

    Thomas Gena

A team has to use the talent it has.
All of a sudden, Cole Kmet looks like a player. That’s because he’s getting some targets.
Do you think that Claypool (or any other receiver) can make plays, without the QB throwing to him?
There’s only one football– and hero-ball doesn’t win consistently, in the NFL.

    Amahd Cole

    I not sure

    Sam Russo

@Thomas Gena why did people expect anything out of this team this season? The roster is the worst in the league after the trades.

    Thomas Gena

@Sam Russo I think people expected Ryan Poles to be a better GM than Ryan Pace — and he is not. Pace’s fatal flaw was Matt Nagy. At least Poles was smart enough to choose Matt Eberflus.
But, then Poles let a lot of players walk — and he replaced them with lesser players at higher costs.
The trades Poles made were not bad at all — but if he would have completed them prior to the 2022 NFL draft, the Bears would have benefited even more.
The plan of building through the draft is very good — but Poles contradicted that immediately, by signing players like Riley Reiff, Michael Schofield and Alex Leatherwood. And in doing so, Poles even lost his own draft selection, Zach Thomas (who the LA Rams thought highly enough to add to their roster).
Poles is a rookie GM — and he’s made mistakes — some rookie moves, and some moves that demonstrate a lack of football knowledge and personal integrity. That’s worrisome.
    But, time will tell.

Ace

you thought running your hurting qb was the best first down play you had? no shot

    Matt St. John

Yeah that call by Getsy was absolutely stupid. He saw his hurting QB and thought to himself “let’s run a play that’ll get him even more hurt…” WHAT THE HECK GETSY??!!

rob daniel

When you allow 4 sacks and numerous pressures to a team that only had 13 sacks on the season, you must make OL changes.

    Tdwild24

@eddie drummond no chance you’re trying to say his pocket awareness is the issue and not the o-line

    Dreux Ateman

@Tdwild24 If his pocket awareness was the problem, he wouldn’t be escaping so many situations, that would be obvious Sacks for other Quarterbacks. Just watch the film, to see the facts. It’s Not that hard to do.

    Dreux Ateman

@Matt St. John Ask Trevor Lawrence if Justin can throw.

    Yeah Boi

@Jack Lantern you don’t watch football

    William Sparks

As well, the Bears only have 15 sacks on defense. Giving up more sacks on offense than you get on defense is always a horseshit combination.

darai62

Brad Biggs questions deteriorate with each additional ask.

robert byington

Quit making the same excuses every week all NFL teams practice hard the play calling on the last drive with limited time outs was from a HS playbook. If you thought running your QB straight into the line with 8 men in the box was the right call with less than 2 minutes to play then the entire coaching staff needs to resign immediately.
Bears fans are very patient except when you talk to us like we are stupid. Mustifer and Stafford sic where getting killed; so why not Jenkins and Borom they couldn’t play any worse. As far as I know you can substitute players freely in the NFL but not the Bears😢

king james

🐻 chose to ignore O-line for a decade & dismantle the D 1/2 way through season.🤷🏽

    Craig Walker

Say it louder bro! We have to remember that, as he talks.

    Reed Howard

Lol bro, this defense sucked with Roquan and Quinn.

    Tdwild24

head coach and gm haven’t been here for a decade dumbass. defense wasn’t strong in the first place either

    king james

@Reed Howard sucks 23+ more pts per game without them…

    Craig Walker

So as far as I’m concerned Quinn should have been gone before last years draft. But Smith should have gotten paid, a great nucleus for a good young defense. Two safeties, two corners and a nickel. Then draft, and sign the rest.

Chris Burgos

First Chicago is happy because our QB is running and breaking records and scoring and now people are saying we’re running too much y’all make me sick 🤢🤢😷

    Thomas Gena

Ryan Poles is cold-blooded, and he knows one thing: records, excitement levels and jplayer jersey sales won’t guarantee his job. The team must win!

Calm Down

In the last four Chicago Bear’s games the refs have dealt with my favorite NFL team the Chicago Bears unjustly. I am a life long Bears man. Bear All The Way Down! Kmet is a bad azz. Is number 57 the next great Chicago middle line backer. Hmmmmm! Perhaps. Justin Fields is a bad azz times 3. The Bears have six more games. Let’s go!

Sugimation

We’re tanking but I’m fine with that. We have no defense so Fields is just getting reps and feel with Mooney and Khmet

CollinsK85

GO BEARS 🧡💙🏈🐻⬇️🙏🏾

Garrett Craig

It amazes me how subjective Bears fans and media is when it comes to football analysis. C. Patterson is averaging 29.6 yards for his career in KR. D. Hester averaged 24.6 yards per KR. It’s a GODDAMN no brainer but heaven forbid we say anything bad about a player who never had a position in his 11 year career. Side note-Hester was the best PR of all time. But as we all know ( ask Velus Jones) PR and KR are apples and oranges

Pipo Veelker

Eberfluss to the Players before the Falcons match: ” Okay, we play agianst the worst passing defense this year.

Mooney: “Jeah! so me and the other WR’s will go and destroy the Falcons with passing. JF1 is good at passing so we get them there without any chance for them 2 win against us!”

Ebefluss: ” Jep, we will run this game as much as we can instead of throwing the ball!”

MulaMurkYa

It’s fine to not win rn but you have to protect fields he’s a top talent in the lg he wants to win games regardless that’s why he plays the way he does

sldesign1

Not happy w/Getsy’s play calls in the second half. There was a disconnect between him & Fields today. Doesn’t anybody in that building care about Fields well being?!! Just chasing the high draft picks, aren’t you – running him into the ground.

Abel Salazar

That’s what happens when you get rid of your defense!!!!
