I had to miss Walker the third time this season to watch this game, the fact that i wasted 1GB to watch them lose to one of the worst teams in NFC

Forget all the inner-team politics and the process!😡 I’m tired of Marcus Mariota’s sorry azz, he is what he is!😒 I hope Arthur Blank steps in and force Arthur Smith to start Desmond Ridder IMMEDIATELY!!! I’d rather they risk the rest of the season to see what Ridder can do, than see Mariota start again!

SKIP THE BASE

Man. When this team loses they all call for Mariota’s head every time. Nobody ever addresses Koo missing 3-4 kicks, or the line looking like garbage, or 75% of the snaps being in the dirt,or Patterson getting 18 yards rushing. Or, our Defense getting carved up by a 4th string QB. A backup running back chewing up our D for 130yards. Nope…it’s ALL MARIOTAS fault. If anything Mariota was the only guy that looked like he was fighting out there. And in doing so he was trying too hard and made some bad decisions…but if the rest of the team (who always gets away being BLAMELESS) played with half the fight Mariota showed maybe this game wouldn’t have to be solely on the QBs shoulders.

Have you not watch a game this season? Did you not see Mariota trip and throw from his back, over throw a wide open Pitts numerous times, run out of bounds for a sack on a 3rd down play instead of throwing the ball away, throw to allgeier who was double covered for a 6 yard loss, have 5 dropped picks, probably missing something this was all in one game where Mariota has looked worse and worse over the past 4 games with a horrendous first 4. To still think Mariota is the guy that will lead us into the future is asinine. Not saying Ridder is that guy but the only way we’ll know is to see what he’s got best to see during a meaningless season rather a must win.

    SKIP THE BASE

@Chris Hill I did watch a game. All of them. I’m not saying that Mariota has not played poorly at times. But literally 3 games ago he won offensive player of the week. This fanbase doesn’t put ANY blame on anyone else. Graham literally dropped the ball and cost us the Charger game…Along with a KOO miss (again) and yet after that game…everyone went after only Mariota. I’m not defending the mistakes, I’m just stating that there’s a LOT of guys on this team that deserve the same amount of criticism.

@SKIP THE BASE I agree there bud, alot needs to change talent wise across the board.

Marcus Mariota was the 2nd overall draft round pick in 2015.. then he was bench every place by Ryan Tannehill evidently what he did in college you does it mean he can do it in the NFL I don’t understand why all these Falcons coaches we don’t have for the past 25 years scared to bench a quarterback when he’s not productive they act like Matt Ryan couldn’t do no wrong which his arm is weak same thing with Mariota. Only thing Mariota good at is running and moving the chains. Evidently Arthur Smith see something in him and it’s still the same thing since 2015 Mariota was upset because he wasn’t the #1 overall draft pick in 2015. If you’re that good of a quarterback he should have never got bench
I guess he’s not that good then he thought he was SMH.

Matt ryan came back to beat Carolina from his own endzone hitting Roddy white past the 50 yard line. Can’t count how many deep balls he threw to Julio and tony Gonzales with countless comebacks. Dude was a beast, without a oline and being immobile. Also went through 6 oc’s meaning very intelligent. His very first nfl pass was a TD sounds like you just watched him his last year or 2 without offensive weapons or run game. When we went to the super bowl we had a oc that liked to run and throw check downs look at 49ers same play style when we had a much younger Julio Jones and a qb that could launch the ball accurately. Only thing matt lacked was poise to win big games. Like peyton manning hed thow picks at inopportune times. In 2021 matt was still ranked #2 in deep ball %

If the team focused more on their job on the field than they do on their pre game fashion statement we might get better results.

Mariotas O-line is ranked 15th in pass blocking grade, above the likes of Patrick Mahomes, Geno Smith, Tua Tagovailoa, Justin Herbert, and Dak Prescott, and even though all of those QB’s lines are ranked worse then Mariotas, they all are some of the top QBs in the game. I understand people love Mariota, I do too he seems like a really nice guy, but being a nice guy shouldn’t make you immune to being benched.

Also, Chris Lindstrom is ranked as the best RG in the NFL, and Kaleb McGary and Jake Mathews are both ranked top 10 for tackles in the NFL. That should put into perspective how much better this line is from last year. Also I would Like to clarify that i’m not denying that the O-line played like the worst line in the league last game, but that isn’t the only game that Mariota has been bad, he’s been bad pretty much every game aside from like 2 or maybe 3 games
