I was 8 years old in 1978 we went to Ohio to visit my grandma and my uncle gave me one of his posters he had taped to his wall in his room , he told me I have any one I wanted, I chose a Lynn Swann poster , in this poster he made one of his legendary high flying catches but the way the poster was designed you could only see Swann in the air about to catch the ball and to a 8 year old boy he looked like a super hero which made me fall in love with the Pittsburgh Steelers, I looked up to my uncle & he was a die hard Steelers fan which I became immediately and it pissed off my dad because I’m from Chicago

Best draft class ever, for steelers, and the NFL. Think of it. 4 of them won 4 Superbowls, and also went to Canton. Lynn Swann, John Stallworth, Mike Webster, and, Jack Lambert.

    @julian wahly well, yeah Glad he got in, about time I may add. But he was signed as a free agent. He wasn’t part of that draft.

I’m just mad we had to cheat to win those 4 Super Bowls. Couldn’t we have done it the right way like the Patriots? There’s a dark cloud that hangs over our Steelers. We need to go to the NFL office and beg for forgiveness for all our transgressions over the years. Then they need to build back trust with the public. That’s the only way I can see us saving face. We’re an embarrassment to the NFL.

Guys where just different back then! This guys is class! Even when playing he was never bigger than the team! Humble guys! Just pure class!
