The punt was a playoff perspective decision while most fans who are mad at it are looking from a “rebuild” (go for win for fun, but losing is fine) perspective. A win is obviously what you want, but i definitely see the reason in going for the tie. The most formidable divisional opponent came in this year and going for the tie forced them to leave dissapointed
Plus, I just see this as us not losing this game.
This man went to the SB with Rex Grossman… Mr. Smith don’t get the respect he deserves. He’ll mold this team into a winner if we can keep him in Houston.

There’s no way you can Sugar coat Lovie’s bad decision to punt on 4th and 3. He let his team down. Texans needed to go for the win, so what if they miss it and lose the game, they tried. It’s not like they’re playing for a playoff berth. VERY DISAPPOINTED.
