LIVE: Nick Caserio Talks to the Media Following 2023 NFL Draft | Houston Texans

Nick Caserio and the Texans acquired nine players over three days during the 2023 NFL Draft. C.J. Stroud, quarterback out of Ohio State, was the first player selected by the Texans, and the second player selected overall. Caserio then traded up to pick Will Anderson, Jr., a linebacker out of Alabama.

After selecting Juice Scruggs and Tank Dell on Day 2 of the draft, the Texans picked five more players on Day 3, including Dylan Horton from TCU, Henry To'oTo'o from Alabama, Jarrett Patterson from Notre Dame, Xavier Hutchinson from Iowa State, and Brandon Hill from Pittsburgh.

Caserio and Head Coach DeMeco Ryans looked for players that would fit the team's SWARM mentality.
