Lmfao. I literally just got back from buying all my necessities for this Sunday’s cookout.
Gonna have the tunes goin’, cold beers flowin’, while watching some of the early games on low volume outside while cooking some ribs, beef & chicken fajitas, mollejas, and also tending to 60 lbs of tripas on the propane burners. And of course, the ladies can enjoy a lax-day and will only be making dips and finger foods.
I will have all the the food done and full belly by 7 pm, just in time for kickoff to watch it on the projector outside.

I love football but I hate the disrespect during the National Anthem. I was raised to always show respect anytime it played during a sporting event. I remember one time my Dad & I were at a Cowboys game & I was standing but I left my hat on & my Dad was staring at me like If you don’t take that hat off right now you are about to get smacked in front of 80k people. I don’t understand why kneeling during the Anthem is the way to fight for social justice. The Star-Spangled Banner is the national anthem of the United States. The lyrics come from the Defence of Fort M’Henr, a poem written on September 14, 1814, poet Francis Scott Key after witnessing the bombardment of Fort McHenry by British ships of the Royal Navy in Baltimore Harbor during the Battle of Baltimore in the War of 1812. Key was inspired by the large U.S. flag, with 15 stars and 15 stripes, known as the Star-Spangled Banner, flying triumphantly above the fort during the U.S. victory.
I have no issues with people fighting against injustice. I have no issues with athletes speaking their mind. I have an issue with people disrespecting the flag & the national anthem when it has NOTHING to do with any injustice in this Country. This Country has racists. Every Country has racists… We don’t have racists because during the war of 1812 Francis Scott Key wrote a poem about the bombardment of Fort McHenry!
Again I love football & the Dallas Cowboys I will still watch every game. But people need to figure out another way to show Unity or gain attention in the fight against injustice.

Players kneeling are not being disrespectful to the flag or the military, they are trying to say this flag, in all it’s glory, is our flag too! ALL people should have JUSTICE and EQUALITY. They love this country and this flag as much as anyone else. It’s a cry to those who DON’T give a certain group of people in this country…AMERICANS…EQUAL JUSTICE!! Deserving to have equal justice shouldn’t even be a question. They shouldn’t have to be fighting for this…It’s their right as Americans. But when you say there are Racists everywhere,like just deal with it, that is so closed minded and there in lies part of the problem. Why is it so bad to want EQUAL RIGHTS AND EQUAL JUSTICE??? THIS IS AMERICA…WE ARE BETTER THAN THE HATE !! STOP!!
