    What

    thejaje

He’s our best player on defense

Patrick Fintak

If our defense could just eliminate those few big touchdown runs that seem to happen against all the good running backs we’ve played, then it would be a dominate defense by any standard. But yes, they need to tackle better instead of always trying to strip the ball. Tackle first, strip second!

    thejaje

They don’t even try and strip the ball. The dudes forget that you need to wrap guys up to tackle. They try to tackle guys by hitting them with their shoulder pads, and they’re not physical enough to do that effectively

    David Maly

Not sure if it’s system or players… but Hyde and Poyer are always caught up too close to the line of scrimmage on those long runs… safeties are supposed to be the last line of defense and not fill gaps. Those long runs don’t happen if the safeties stay back and clean up what the Dline or linebackers let through… Defense should have layers the offense has to go through…

    Patrick Fintak

@David Maly I think Leslie is coaching them to try to sneak up to the line as a way to create negative plays. They are the best in the NFL at that, but maybe when they play more physical running backs they should not creep up farther then the line backer level, to avoid getting caught with their pants down. I agree with you. Our defense is built with speed as opposed to size. We need one more big guy in the middle next to Star for when we play teams like New England who want to just ground and pound. We should all know they are going to try run on us again like they did last game, with or without the bad weather. We could not stop them for the most part. Phillips just is not that big physical D lineman unfortunately. Maybe he will step up. Fingers crossed.

Our defense needs an upgrade on the d line and linebacker positions

Tremaine edmunds is done in Buffalo after 2022

    Fluffy Potato

@thejaje Dude he’s so so young still man!! Give him a little more time !! GO BIG BUFF! BILLIEVE

    thejaje

@Fluffy Potato definitely has lots of potential, but the kid’s instincts on reading plays is sub par. He runs himself out of the play way to often. Also isn’t the most reliable tackler. Still rooting for the guy, our defense needs him

Thomas McKee

Fix the run defense. Big running backs expose that weakness too often.

Mr Big

i hope he stays in buffalo for a long time like frecking love defense and he by far is my favorite coordinator
