Kenny Pickett showing why he was the first Quarterback drafted – FANTASY FOOTBALL FAN SITE
SharkyBoy67

He has some potential, obviously a quarterback 1 year out of college isnt gonna ball out the first year

    MikeG82

    @Matt P 6 – 10 record previous season

1 – 1 record before Ben became quarterback, then won 14 straight but keep pretending Ben wasn’t a big reason why

    Smart

@MikeG82 What numbers are you looking at? Big had 67.7 passer rating, kenny has 66.6. Kenny has thrown for more yards in the first 8 starts compared to Ben. Ben has thrown i believe 6 more TDs.

    Jason Mooreplease

Yeah, I really like Pickett, but dude isn’t anything close to Big Ben. Pickett has a higher floor but a lower ceiling. This isn’t dooming the kid though. He reminds me a lot of Derek Carr. Maybe even slightly better foot work than Carr. He looks really promising. I think people overlook the fact Roethlisberger was a generational type player. You don’t just “replace” a top 10 all time quarterback.

    joseph the bobcat

@Matt P it’s not worth it. I appreciate your mindset. I just move forward without all the negativity that our fellow fans have

    Dante and Kyler

@MikeG82uh maybe not, but no way Ben does much better with this team either lol

Cristiano celebration šŸ˜†

Todd Taylor

Well, he played QB ……. not sure what was so special about any of this ….

Cheese On it

But wait why didnt they call timeout with 3 timeoutsā€¦needed Pittman to get 1 more catch to win my fantasy game

Jared Thomas

If you put talent around this kid, he has a chance to be a perennial pro bowler. He’s got some talent

    nahor88

If you give him a competent Offensive Coordinator he’s gonna go far.
Pickens is shaping out to be the new number 1, and they’ve got a franchise-level Tight End in Freiermuth, similar to Heath Miller. Some people have already started comparing Muth to Travis Kelce. The O-line is steadily improving, and Najee has been looking better and better despite nagging injuries.
At his peak I think he’ll be a tier behind Mahommes and Allen, but potential to be as good as Burrow.

    scott nelson

    they need to stop winning

Cervus Canadensis

Yeah he handed off that td unlike anyone else

    Freddys_yt

Did you nit see the 2 pt conversion?šŸ’€

    Freddys_yt

    Not

    Bryce Bower

Good game Kenny! Thanks for proving me wrong..

    Price Pittsburgh

    He’s been proving me right

Todd Miller

Haters will always be haters. He can’t make guys catch tds. He can’t make them catch balls either. Does he miss some passes, yes. Three games in a row, no interceptions. They will get better each week, even with Canada. Pickens will be great, he demands a lot from himself. Johnson would have had a good game as well, but that dropped td, can’t happen.

Hunnid K

Give him an o line and a competent OC and he’ll be elite

    Landon Carmody

    elite is a stretch

    Hunnid K

@Landon Carmody with a connection like Pickens he def has a chance.

cadet526

Who edited this!?! Thereā€™s 2 handoffs to show Pickett playing well

Gerret Outdoors

The way he hands off those runs.

    Gerret Outdoors

@U8mymicro 14 wasn’t running a route. This is the same look they use for a pass, no doubt. But 14 didn’t run the actual route. Immediately after the pick, 14 stops. Had this been an actual route, he would have created separation between himself and the defenders. šŸ™‚

    Gerret Outdoors

@Price PittsburghĀ  I actually like him. I think he has the potential to be very successful. Although I’m not a steelers fan at all.

My issue is more with the NFL video creators. It’s a long story.

But this dude really did throw some great passes. And his WRs made some great catches too.

    U8mymicro

@Gerret Outdoors Dude it really just is. Go look at the interview with mason cole. Did you play football at all?
Your like trying to make a point when the receiver is clearly pressing and then running behind a pick route. Did you notice he stops after looking at the qb who doesnt have the ball?
Or you going to omit that too?
Im not going to discuss this anymore It’s clearly a RPO and is in the highlights because anyone who has played football understands. “OMG he didnt get seperation on his first two steps of his route SEE CLEARLY RUN PLAY!!!!!!!!”

    Price Pittsburgh

@Gerret Outdoors Yeah I’ll agree that the headlines on videos are stupid and over the top

    Gerret Outdoors

@U8mymicroĀ  you are seeing the exact same thing I am, but drawing different conclusions.

To me, the way the WR gives up on the route before even being able to tell if the QB has the ball or not is a clear indication that he never expected the ball to begin with. There is no defenders in the middle of the end zone infront of him.

Had he expected the ball, he would have moved into an open area, continuing his route, taking another couple steps at a minimum.

The WRs ran the route exactly as much as needed to keep their defenders away from the run.

If you pause the video just as 14 comes out from behind the defenders, you can see he is leaning back to stop, not forward to get open. And if you think 14 was rubbing the defenders off the other guy, he doesn’t put any effort into his route either.

89 never attempts to defeat his defenders coverage, he immediately blocks for the run. The WR at the very bottom doesn’t even put in the slightest bit of effort into his route.

The box was packed for defense against the run, and should have been a pass if this had been an option. But the run was still successful. 14 comes open and would have gotten the ball had this been an option.

And yes I’ve played football. Although I think that doesn’t really matter. It doesn’t exactly take a pro to see a packed box and man coverage.

Gotta a feeling you’ll disagree with me again. So I’m gonna end by saying we should agree to disagree.

    BUT

It makes pickett look better if this isn’t an RPO, because it would be a mistake on his part if it had been. And I feel like your only here to defend him. I actually like the kid and think he has some talent.

    Take care my dude.

Dean Scott

Diontae Johnson has been such a disappointment. Catches the ball then go backwards.

Jason Mooreplease

Dude is a carbon copy of Derek Carr with slightly better footwork. Give him a good o-line, competent play calling, and stellar defense and he’ll win lots of games.

    Yung Lean

I see it. But Pickett is way more mobile too

Fawkes Protocol

Looking good! Very happy theyā€™ve stuck with him. Heā€™s growing every week

John M

Diontae is my guy but man he HAS to stop doing that horizontal running and cutting back. Dude had the easiest first down at 0:31.

shinski

Ice cold against a top 5 defense on the road

Tyrone Johnson

I’m starting to get comfortable with Pickett….

John

Change the OC, upgrade the left side of the Oline, and let him call audibles he’ll be alirght.
