@James absolutely true, the one thing i was asking people to do (granted im nobody) is just wait till everyone is healthy for a few games, then judge the man. But really i think we need to give the man an off season where covid and injuries and new players didnt decimate our starting D. BUT im so glad they turned it around like this to get people to back off that poor guy a bit. We wont be perfect, but if both sides play well, another “why not us” season could be possible. Dunno bout you, but i would love to see our O show some real force during this last game. We dont need to dominate, but catch all decent balls, block well, make 3rd downs and such. Go hawks and awesome job earlier admitting you might have been wrong about Norton, thats real courage these days it seems

Facts

You can’t blame people for wanting answer’s….the defense was historically bad. On pace to give up the most yards in NFL history. You can’t downplay that….fans had the right to call for answer’s it was hard to watch and unfortunately Ken Norton was the man responsible. Yes the defense has finally turned it around but the first half of the season was pretty pathetic.

Without that push and pressure from the fans no changes would be made

Speak for yourself. I saw the flashes in those early end game situations where the defense had to close it out to get a win. Complimentary football.

@Rico Alexander same, we were using petes defense scheme not kens. But nobdy wannted to give it time to develop.

I’m never the one to call for people to be fired. But I was like there’s no way this guy can turn around our defense. I’m so happy to be proven wrong. It’s always awesome to see someone prove to everyone that he was the right man for the job.

We weren’t overreacting don’t forget the defense was on pace for the worst defense in nfl history and It all started with Ken and his play calling but even if he did turn things around he needs to go

@DArion Mccleary idk if he needs to go honestly. The main reason most of us were so worried is because we thought the scheme was just bad. Turns out the players just didn’t have enough time to mesh at the beginning of the year. With all the injuries and personnel turnover, guys just weren’t able to play well together right away. I’d be willing to bring Ken back as long as the playoffs don’t expose our defense. We have some ballers on D and it seems like Norton is getting the best out of a lot of guys this season, such as Neal and DJ Reed. Also, no matter who you bring in, it’s gonna be Pete’s scheme and he makes all the decisions. Norton may make the playcalls but that defense is still Pete’s through and through.
