James White is a class act in every way. I can’t imagine that there’s one Patriots fan that does not have him on them on their all time favorite player list. We were blessed to witness his playing ability, and his character as a man
He’s on my short list of great Patriots. My favorite memory is the run on the right side in the SB vs ATL. For the win!

If Parcells hadn’t delivered the poison pill, and he remained a Patriot, Curtis Martin would be on this list. Maybe even behind 12. He was great, a great person, but ultimately landed with Parcells in New Jersey. I still love the guy.
James was on that level as far as a person. Not in Martin’s class as a player, but he was never a lead back.
James White baffled me. As he got so many touches, mostly through the air, and had ZERO career fumbles. Zero! Players recounted that they don’t ever recall him fumbling in practice either.
Truly, to parrot another commenter, a class act. A guy who played his best when the lights were brightest.
Congratulations Mr. White. You were a great player, are a great person and a world champion.
