Isaiah Buggs on late-game defense & Lomas Brown helps preview Giants | Twentyman in the Huddle E. 26

On this week’s episode of Twentyman in the Huddle presented by Microsoft, Tim Twentyman is talking all things Lions-Giants as Detroit looks to win three straight games for the first time since 2017. As always, Tim begins with news and notes from this week in Allen Park, including injury updates on Romeo Okwara, Frank Ragnow and DJ Chark, as well as a statistical breakdown of what the Lions may be able to take advantage of on Sunday against the Giants. After that, John Schmeelk of Giants.com calls in to discuss how Brian Daboll has re-shaped the Big Blue offense around Saquon Barkley and Daniel Jones and what the Lions can do to stop Dexter Lawrence. Next, Lions defensive lineman Isaiah Buggs joins Tim to talk about the defense delivering two straight wins in end-of-game situations, playing for Aaron Glenn and the development of Aidan Hutchinson. Lastly, Lions legend and former Giant Lomas Brown joins Tim for Key Matchups, presented by BetMGM.

Huge game this Sunday.

Daniel Jones to me seems like a younger Carson Wentz as far as type of QB.

    Blue City Empire Sports

Don’t jinx Danny Jones!!!! because you’re saying that he might get injured like Carson Wentz did playing against the LA Rams but they still beat them that means either NYG Backup QB #2 Tyron Taylor or Backup QB #12 David Webb might take us all the way to the Superbowl 2022. as a New York Giants fan I don’t see us going to the Super Bowl 2022 I do see us going to the 2022 play-off win in the first round. but I see my NYG lose in the second round in the 2022 play-off. I rather see my QB #8 Daniel Jones in 2023 take us all the way to the Super Bow!! 2023!!!!! and I do not compare this 2022 New York Football Giants to The 2017 Philadelphia Eagles I also do not compare Danny Dimes to Josh Allen. the same way I do not compare Jalen H to Lamar Jackson or Deshaun Watson & I also do not compare saquon Barkley to Tiki Barber

I love these videos, but do we need the same intro the entire year for these videos? Last year it was Amani Oruwariye fifty million times, now it’s Rodrigo every week. Can’t it be someone different each time? So many other great plays and players to showcase as an intro

Xavier Dubon

Huge game this weekend 😭 everyone’s gotta show up. GO LIONSSSSSS

Is it true that former Detroit Lions player’s always have a Breakout game against Detroit if it is true I will be shocked or can you imagine if Kenny G gets his first touchdown against Detroit or I would be shocked if Kenny G gets his first touchdown for the win against his former team Detroit Lions if I do recall Darius Slay used to play for the Detroit Lions and now play for the Philadelphia Eagles is it true back in 2021 Darius Slay had a Breakout game against his former team Detroit or am I just tripping ? Question for any Detroit Lions fan’s comment down below or reply if it is true or I’m just tripping

I wouldn’t doubt it, I know it’s happened before! Also when players leave Detroit, they tend to play better or even go all the way to the all star games and championships, athletes such as: Stafford, Verlander, Scherzer, Ebron, Diggs, Martinez to name a few. One of the big exceptions to that rule is definitely Kenny Goliday who played very exceptional when in Detroit and has been falling short ever since leaving.

Let’s go Lions ! One pride. Hopefully these guys get healthy. We already look dangerous on both sides of the ball so getting more playmakers out there could send us on a win streak

Keep up the good work TT

I kinda don’t want to win bcuz we need A top 3 QB preferably with some mobility but not too much mobility or our passing game will struggle for a few seasons 🤔..but if winning is what the lions end up doing then so be it..This fan base is in diar need of winning football games and so is the players for that matter..

    BrushFireBCrazy

Yeah I think if Goff can play steady and smart the rest of this season then the qb class isn’t worth tanking for, especially when this regime and Dan Campbell in particular are trying to establish a winning culture here after 60 years of falling short. Wins are becoming very important to the credibility of this new regime and to the sustainability of a culture change. I’d give up a top 5 spot in the draft if it meant this team and regime has enough time and confidence to actually make this tear down successful and future winning sustainable. If the fans don’t run the regime out of town too quickly, I really think the growing pains will be worth it. I love how this organization approaches football, they respect the media with courtesy and honesty and availability, they also respect the fans and show love for the neglected and terminal among us, which warms my heart.

Buggs get it man…Jus do your job and don’t worry about Noth else..Jus do your damn job!!!!! Its so simple yet its so misunderstood…

Arthur Fonzarelli

I watch a lot of Lions videos and Buggs is clearly a vocal leader for this team. Guarantee the Lions coaches love this guy as he’s exactly what they want the team to be, a hard working effort, gritty player.

question??? what would happen if the giants bring so much pressure Goth gets an injury where he can’t play? I think this New York team sounds like it will be the biggest, hardest rush we will face so far? Not wishing this at all….go Lions!!

SWLION

Look, everybody has underestimated the New York Giants all year. I think they have more talent than they’re given credit for, they’re seven and two, they are doing something right. They are a smart, tough, well coached team. That will win you a lot of games. For the Lions to win this game, they need to stop the run, don’t give up big plays and win the turnover battle. Easier said than done.
