Been a while lad

Blunted Vegas702

So thankful that we still have Mr. Mosley.
Best wished and success Sir.

calvin watson

CJ it’s time to live up to that contract clean slate no hard feelings but it’s time to do work and all Jets fans are behind you…..right Jets fans!?

    DiorThompson

Yessir…atleast 80% of what he was I hope he brings back

    therush420

Unless he has an unreal season, I see JD getting this contract off the books next year.

    rexbo29

@therush420 Because of his contract, it wouldn’t be realistic to cut him till at least 2023. The opt out year didn’t count as a contract year, so technically this is only the 2nd year of his contract.

    Smoke Stack

@rexbo29 ….If he’s traded after June 1st it’s a 6 million dollar cap hit, I hope JD gets rid of this clown. Everyone else played during tough times and endured a bad season. Macagnan once gain proved how bad of a GM he was by giving Mosley that contract.

The other part of the equation is how does he fit as a MLB? He’s always played ILB in a 3-4, does he have the speed from sideline to sideline to be an effective MLB.

I do t think he does, that’s why he will be traded for a 3rd round pick after June 1st.

    rexbo29

@Smoke Stack I’m not sure where you’re getting you’re info. But according to Spotrac.com, his dead cap hit this year if you cut him is 27 million. His dead cap in 2022 is just over 20 million. 2023 it drops to 3 million, and so is the earliest you can reasonably cut him. I think what your looking at is the cash amount he’s due this year, which is the 6 mil you had mentioned, which is different than the cap hit. If you’re talking about a trade, then yes that’s different. But who would trade for him if he sucks when his salary in 2022 is at 16 mil.

Hernan Berisso

Lets hope his decision to opt out was a wise one… it gave him an extra year to fully heal that groin, and also helped us earn this years number two pick… of course, thats if he’s productive this year

    MoMoMyPup10

Yeah you can’t help but wonder if almost 2 years away effects his game a lot. In retrospect many players got the virus and I didn’t hear of any one getting all that sick, or their families either. So if he’s not the same player there’s going to be some regrets all around.

therush420

“I was paid to stay away from Gase.”

    BuddhaLove77 #NewCultureofPeace

    I know JD is smiling!!

Trevor Michaud

I just became a fan during the Gase era when we lost our first game of the season in 2020, so I have no idea how good of a player this guy is. I’m hoping he can be our mainstay linebacker and he can be a mentor to the young guys

    Vinny B

He’s good. Pro bowl level player. Sorry your first seasons were during the Gase era. We had some exciting times and I definitely feel like this team is finally heading in a great direction.

    Alex Henriquez

Welcome to gang green my dude, you picked a hell of year to join though 🤣

    Trevor Michaud

@Alex Henriquez Hell yeah I did lol but atleast nobody can call me a bandwagon fan

    Trevor Michaud

@Vinny B It’s cool, this year feels like my first real year because we actually have a competent coaching staff now.

ModestM2

Having him back in the fold is something I feel is being overlooked tremendously. This is not only a very very good lb, but he’s a captain and shot caller. He will help make this defense go.

    Sam Rosendahl

He’s gonna be the leader of this defense. He’s a veteran, and an elite talent in his prime. Very underrated for sure

Sam Rosendahl

Fully healthy CJ. Let’s GOOO

Hdjd Jdnfn

We need you bro now more than ever……set an example …. and as always… “Go Jets 🛩 “

Michael N

This defense is gonna look so different with him leading it. I really think we can easily be a .500 team if Mike Lafleur and Zach Wilson progress as I think they will..

    MoMoMyPup10

Yeah you can’t help but wonder if almost 2 years away effects his game a lot. In retrospect many players got the virus and I didn’t hear of any one getting all that sick, or their families either. So if he’s not the same player there’s going to be some regrets all around.

Bob Kraut

He’s saying all the right things- he has a good attitude and will do his talking on the field!

R. J. Reda

What was it like to watch last season…HUGE cough 😂

Will Cozine

Day 1 of politely asking for ESPN to fire Rich Cimini for always trying to stir up controversy

    Mark Myers

He has got to go!! Once he’s gone I CAN RETURN TO ESPN for some of my Jets coverage.

Matt Finch

CJ Mosley is a beast and he’s not in NY to take our money. It was scary for all of us when Covid first happened and nobody can blame him for opting out. Hes here now and thats what matters.

PHIL ADAMS

The last two years were largely a nightmare on the field – now it’s a whole new beginning for everybody connected to the JETS…… CJM can play a big part in the future. GO-JETS 🇬🇧

Sean Bieski

These guys asking the questions are suspect

Andrew Yacos

CJ, we NEED you!

John Amorello

Love Kim Jones, love all of her questions. So happy to see/hear CJ

Danny Ross

Let your play do the talkin I love CJ my opinion you’re still one of the best linebackers in the league and you will show Jets fans what they would be missing
