@Vic Hernandez They had Emmanuel Sanders too, who they replaced in the first round too. Plus they have Kittle. Point is their passing game is fine. Goodwin was low on the the priority of their passing game. Still a steal of a trade.
@Evan Fortunato Sanders is no longer with the club. That should be even more reason to keep Goodwin around if he were that good. The trade they swung with us was basically saying … you are no better than our 5th receiver on the depth chart. A depth chart that is made up of their #2 having had 350 yards last season. As an Eagles fan I’m obviously hoping Goodwin turns out great … I’m just not holding my breath.

@Vic Hernandez You’re right, Sanders is gone, and they replaced him in the first round. We were just clearly in more in need of wide receivers. This off-season we added more WRs than we can keep on our depth chart, so it’s not an unbelievable possibility that Goodwin won’t even make the team. But he has skill and can be a good role model for the rookies, so I do think it was a good trade.
Jimmy G also doesn’t seem to have chemistry with him, unlike his other weapons. Bacc in 2018, his biggest plays came from other QBs who actually threw to him, cuz Jimmy got hurt

If he can’t block in the run game I don’t want him on the field. He’s a “tell”.
Plenty of WRs can’t run block. Maybe that’s actually a trick to use. Teams think they won’t run it with Goodwin on field but then they run up the middle or do a pitch outside
@SmithN’ Wesson in this Andy/Doug/Shanahans hybrid offense you need Wrs who can even up the numbers. There’s a great video of Jeff Stoutland explaining it with footage if you’re interested in learning something.
Shareef Collins the only receiver that’s ever been praised for their run blocking ability is Dallas Goedert. Everyone else can’t do it or is average at best

Shareef Collins yeah I’m sure if I watch film breakdown ill see some good blocks, but the consensus that I come up with watching full games and and not highlights of successful plays is we have average/below average blockers
