edge rusher for sure…you have some flexibility in the draft for other positions…Joe is going to be smart and patient. There’s going to be more quality players than normal in free agency because of the lowered cap. Most teams are going to blow their load quickly. He’s going to have his pick with a ton of leverage and a ton of cash to spend. Couldn’t be positioned any better

Sign Allen Robinson or Kenny G. Sign thuney and sherff. Trade down and draft jamar chase or jalen waddle.

We need to trade for CB, take an edge threat in draft or pursue one in FA. The most important thing we need is a fast runningback for their new Offensive scheme. Sam Darnold excels when he is in a play action/outside of the pocket. Quick passes, end arounds… etc…
We really only need one corner. Poole is a solid slot corner, and Bryce hall is most likely going to take a leap in year two, based on his play from the end the end of last season, so he can go at the cb2 while we pursue in FA another for the top of the depth chart
Drop down sign Pitts and a rb in the first round. Sign J Williams from Green Bay. We have enough cap for DE OL LB CB.

The NYJs are not going to deal away 1 single draft pick.
The NYJs are not going to sign any “big name” free agent.
Look at last year’s FA signings for an idea of what “splashy” means to JD.
well maybe Joe should do the opposite of what he did last season since the team went 2-14. Perhaps a “splash” or two would be a good idea.
Can’t stand how much respect and trust this guy has gotten off 2 losing seasons including a disaster last year. It was not ALL Adam Gase fault. Joe has done a lousy job thus far coming into his THIRD year the team needs to show improvement.
It’s put up or shut up time for Joe Douglas. He is the next target of fans ire if they don’t win games.
Douglas was thrifty last yr bc he knew what was coming.

Douglas knew this and played it smart which is why we have so much cap space.

His first yr he didnt handle FA and the draft. Maccagnan did it.
Last season he had to be cheap.
Big names come with a big price tag. Douglas plays the long game, like Ozzie taught him in BALT. He will sign free agents, but not like JuJu. Capable free agents to fill holes, which the NYJs had a lot of last year, at lower price tag that will free up future cap space to keep the in house developed talent in house. Like Mayes.
Gase was kept around because the Johnsons stuck their nose into the football business. The first evidence that Douglas was going to be in control of football operations was when he got to fire Gase. And hire Saleh.
The NYJs will draft Wilson with the #2 pick. Period.
