Jose David Martinez

In answer to your question, they can’t. Take a cue from Titans. The run sets up the pass. Jason Garrett, carried over his Dallas philosophy to New York. Their is a definite slant to pass and all opponents know it. Joe Judge way too soft of a head coach!

    Master Diver

Opiniating, yes, they can. JG put together a long term #1 yards offense. Slants are irrelevant to any problems & isn’t an issue here or in any book or routes…target selection becomes key to a QB. Titans vs. Chiefs game progression was the same, went to pass, when trailing. Judge is a pro coach, he can’t yell, at players, like a child. It isn’t H.S or 18 yr old’s in college. He’s a degree bearer in the athletics field & properly trained.

Omar Turner

Getting rid of gettleman will be a start get a QB that is accurate and mobile and take care of the damn ball….yes draft another QB….

    Simon Z

@Ivan Castañeda yes. Hes learned TWO offensive schemes and has had to deal with a subpar receiving core and an unreliable TE in Engram all within a span of 16 games cuz last year he only played 12 games. He doesnt deserve the hate yall give him. Trevor Lawrence would be doing terrible with us rn.

    Ivan Castañeda

@Simon Z You see Joe Burrow, Sam Darnold, and Kyler Murray last year. They all had to learn a different scheme and had a terrible o line, but they still performed and makes you think they actually have something in them. The Giants have scored 1 touchdown in 3 GAMES!! he’s got more turnovers than touchdowns. Just checked and he has 3 times as many turnovers as touchdowns

    Simon Z

@Ivan Castañeda ok but how was Daniel Jones last season? He performed better than Sam Darnold by a mile and led all rookies in TDs. I get the turnover problem but a lot of young QBs have that issue. Peyton Manning led the league in turnovers his rookie season! Jones is making a ton of mistakes and I agree with you there but the man has no reputable receivers. Joe Burrow has AJ Green, Tyler Boyd and John Ross. The Cardinals have DEANDRE HOPKINS, Larry Fitzgerald, and Christian Kirk! Who does Jones have on that receiving core besides Slayton? Shepard has been a walking injury, Engram has been underwhelming this season to say the least and the other two guys are no names in CJ Board and Ratley. All im saying is the guy has terrible weapons and an offensive line that is still learning. He has issues to fix but last season he showed us what he can be for us if he eliminates turnovers. On top of that hes learning a completely different scheme still so its like another rookie season for him. He deserves more than 16 games!

    Ivan Castañeda

@Simon Z Aj Green and John ross are trash. This season burrow has a rookie receiver (Tee Higgins) and Boyd. I said Kyler Murray last year not this year so deandre hopkins is out of the equation. Evan Engram can’t pass the ball to himself so if Daniel Jones ain’t doing well neither is he and he still has Golden Tate and Slayton. They aren’t Pro Bowl receivers but it’s not bad enough to where you can excuse him not having a touchdown. In a market like new york you can’t afford having a mediocre QB. Aaron rodgers put on a show on Monday with Robert Tonyan and some other receivers that I don’t even remember their names. Lazard was out, Valdes Scantling didn’t have his best game, Aaron Jones didn’t play the second quarter, and DAVANTE ADAMS was out now I do get that his protection is a infinitely better but that’s the type of quarterback New York needs and that’s the QB Trevor Lawrence is

    Simon Z

@Ivan Castañeda Also, go watch Talkin Giants film analysis on our offense. He breaks it down pretty well and he said it himself. The receivers just arent getting open. Its partly due to the scheme and the talent we have at receiver. Go ahead and watch it since clearly you dont wanna believe me

Big Brother Thunder

One of the callers tried to get Paul Dottino to admit a Black quarterback was Better than a white QB 😭😭😭 he must be a new Listener. Paul D. Has never seen a Black QB he thought was any good

Michael Caywood

I may not be the first dislike of The New York Giants video, but I won’t be the last one.

No one cares sucka. Thanks for adding to the Giants view count.

BiGBluERuLes100

Paul and Lance don’t like one another you can tell Lol. They are over analyzing it too much this whole time of possession nonsense.

    Simon Z

Time of possession is key on offense. The problem is we arent scoring TDs and winning the time of possession. Why was the cowboys offense so good at masking their terrible defense before? They had one of the best time of possessions in games in the league. When you have the better time of possession AND can eliminate turnovers you are giving your defense rest and most likely running the ball effectively which opens up the pass game. But you need to be able to score TDs

    MrThehardway

@Simon Z Not only that, but WHEN you score TDs is important, for instance the Cowboys are currently scoring a lot of TDs, but its to dig themselves out of big deficits that many couldn’t overcome. What Lance is simply trying to say is that the winner is decided by points, not T.o.P., not turnovers, not sacks, not 3 and outs, not rushing yards…Points, and if you can’t score, all of those other nuances wont save you in the W/L column!

    Simon Z

@MrThehardway totally agree. I agreed more with Lance here. He is just being more realistic with what the Giants are truly screwing up. And thats getting points on the board. A lot of offenses are pass heavy and a lot are run heavy but you NEED to be able to do both. I feel once the oline develops properly over time and we get some key weapons for Jones we wont even be having this discussion. Plus he needs to eliminate shoving the ball in places where they shouldnt be thrown. He leads the league in tight window passes believe it or not

Efistofélico

Great discussion!

Daryl C. Jackson

I think this was a silly and staged disagreement. Winning time of possession is not a goal but a measure of a Team’s success in meeting their offensive goals. The problem the Giants have is that there are only about 6-8 offensive possessions in a game and we haven’t been maximizing points in every possession. To say it another way you can win the time of possession and easily lose the game if you aren’t maximizing potential points on each possession.

Master Diver

It’s just the QB’s picks/targets – execution. I have to say, (1) keep it open, (2) hit your open guy, (3) don’t make the mistake of always picking the deep guy ‘Open that up’ & (4) sometimes the closer guy can be desirable. Run it again ’till you groove & make some music. 3-4 is, what happened in the 4Q. Everyone will tell you the same though. Go Blue

Simon Z

Paul has a good point but AT THE SAME TIME time of possession isnt everything. The problem with the Giants is NOT SCORING TOUCHDOWNS and finishing those drives not holding the time of possession battle. If you score a TD with the shortest time of possession you still won that battle

Dan bigblue

You wanna see a better offense fire jason Garrett never seen so many stupid curl routes in my life no wonder why every defense blitz usss
