When I heard about Rashawn Slater I was literally heartbroken 💔 hope he gets well soon and is ready for next season!!!!

    SidGotSauce

@Moses Moua we have a chance

    Brandon Mitchell

You have to fire Lombardi. Their hard to watch on offense right now. I could scheme against this offense and I’m not even a DC. They are a short throwing one dimensional offense. If Lombardi stays this whole season…..I’ll be asking for his severance package too

    PyroAnimalJ 310

@Taylor Quiroz dont forget the damn penaltys for holding his wackass had were screwed if we gotta rely on that guy

    First Last

They should ask Andrew Whitworth to come out of retirement. He’s still in LA

    SidGotSauce

@Taylor Quiroz we getting a new piece to our team or if not we starting jamaree sawyer

Horror Channel

We need a coach who can actually
Coach our team.

@Wild Cat NO ! Then Joe stays & I’ve had ENOUGH of JOE”S sh#t to last me a life time ! DONE with him , like [ LAST ] year !

    Claytoon

@Robert D. There’s a reason Joe never made it above offensive coordinator with the Saints

    Joe Dixon

@Claytoon he never was their OC, QB Coach.

    Claytoon

@Joe Dixon I meant to say to OC not above. My bad

Watching college football this week I saw Elon university and one of their players Antonio White defense player wow. We need to recruit Antonio White for the Chargers ⚡🏈

Dontno Nowuno

No excuses..coaching is EVERYTHING in NFL.These players are all super talented at this level.

    toby v

Amen brotha couldnt of said it better

    Dontno Nowuno

@bartbutkis sooo.. Jacksonville looked like horse poop last year and in ONE off-season they beat a hyped Chargers team at home by 28 pts?make it make sense..these guys in the NFL are ALL the best of the best

    Robert D.

@Ryan Thomas 1000 % correct ! Try some slants ! Rice made a CAREER of them ! Run some draws to slow DOWN a fast defense ! Try this out , throw your swing passes out in front of the line & the key here [ LED ] the RB”S / TE”S / WR”S ! Not make them stop & WAIT for the pass & get KILLED ! BUT I have BEEN saying this SH#T for about a year , now & to me Joe’s head needs to roll / FIRE him ! PS Joe is killing this whole team , not just on the OFFENSE side , BUT , on the DEFENSE side as well !

    Dark-Boson369

Injuries are the biggest uncontrollable factor!! Unfortunately it’s our star players getting injured!!

The fact that Lombozzo couldn’t adjust the gameplan to benefit Mike Williams is a testament to how outmatched he is in the NFL. No one has benefitted from someone else’s legacy quite like Lombardi

What we saw yesterday after 10 days of rest was unacceptable. For the first time I’m starting to have doubts about this coaching staff from a game planning perspective to a motivational standpoint. The team seemed as if they were in a haze and going through the motions. Where was the fire? The edge needed to be successful? I just didn’t see it. Then add in the injuries, and it was a total disaster.
How is it that JC Jackson could play every defensive snap against the Chiefs, but after 10 days, couldn’t play at all against the Jaguars? It wasn’t even a real injury. It was an incision that was healing.. and it got WORSE after 10 days?
Our $20 million receiver caught ONE PASS for 15 yards?
The entire off season we knew that we only had one good tackle, the other 2 we had were both below average, and the depth at tackle was non-existent. Did we sign another tackle to start opposite Slater? No, so now we have 2 backups starting at tackle with no help in sight..
Where is our rookie running back Spiller, who was supposed to give Eckeler a break? Why are they running Sony Michelle when Joshua Kelly is the only productive back?
I just don’t know what Staley and Telesco are thinking, but whatever it was isn’t good enough. Very disappointed now to say the least.

Must win on Sunday! If Chargers lose on Sunday against the Texans, season is over!🤬

BoltUpLA

No words after watching this game. Agree 💯 with Hayley, expected the defense to come through knowing Justin is still dealing with an injury. Chargers fans showed up at Sofi and it was so disappointing. Silver lining is there is still time to switch things up and get it right. ⚡️💙💛

Chris Smith

Dang man… I appreciate these reporters doing their work even after a tough loss. Really hurt to hear Hayley talk about it in the beginning and compare this game to the 2015 year… that year ended up being a #3 overall pick.

MynamesCona

I’m not worried yet. Herbert, Keenan, Linsley, Slater, J.C Jackson, Bosa. All our top 100 guys are carrying injuries. The lack of depth is worrying at certain positions.

Once again in the NFL it comes down to health

R C

I was dreading to hear that Rashawn Slater is out for the season after knowing yesterday that it was a bicep injury. Bicep injuries are always a season-ender. They might need to look for a trade or seriously consider who we have within because Storm is not it!! 😞

    Balin_James

We’re going to find out this week how this coaching staff sees this team. If Rashawn lands on IR and they pick up a LT, they’re still trying. If not.. they’ve given up

Tincan53

Offensive line is decimated with injuries leaving the offense on the bench. No run game, very little passing, and a hurt field general. That leaves the defense to hold it and they’re now hurt. Even the coaches were out coached. The Texans need to speak kindly of the Bolts after they win on Sunday. Going to be a VERY long season. What a waste.

El Chivo32

Hopefully we can somewhat make the playoffs but for sure we need new coaching staff next year! Like damn this is ridiculous!!

    Jay dub

We’re not making the playoffs bud it’s over

XXLepic

There has to be something systematically wrong with us averaging more injuries than any other team every year for decades. It isn’t coincidence at that point…

Joe Stevens

Brutal game. As a fan I’m crushed lol going to be a long season.

The Workout Geek

Correction Chris, the most important player to the quarterback is the one protecting his blindside and that is Rashawn Slater. I was devasted to find out that he had injured a bicep and if it’s a bicep tear he may be out for the season. The Chargers need to look at free agents and see who they can get to protect Herbert if they want any chance of winning and making the playoffs, Storm or should I say “Light Breeze” Norton just won’t do. Getting more offensive linemen either through free agency or the draft in case of injuries or to replace a Light Breeze Norton is something I wished the Chargers addressed in the off season but they didn’t I’m really scratching my head Norton still plays in the NFL also Joe Lombardi should be on the hot seat, if I was the head coach I would have already replaced him.

Azee

I’ve seen enough already, Herbert when under pressure, didn’t do well. Chargers is not going to make it, they are done!👎🤬🥺

Chris

They won’t, the Texans are going to manhandle us once again. I have zero faith in our ability to remain healthy and with so many key injuries already, this will turn into last year’s awful run defense. I pray I’m wrong, but I won’t be shocked if we are 1-3 after this upcoming Sunday.

Aaron Vincent

Eric was absolutely right, the whole team felt off from the very start of the game.
