Foles looks like he has a bit more zip on the ball

    Civicious

    Get your eyes checked

    DBLDREW

@Vercingetorix Arverni i never said who was beating who, just a comment that foles had a bit more zip on his passes. and in the very limited examples we have foles passes where a little faster.

    George Gray

That would be tough to see from this video since you are seeing different types of throws from both QBs. I am not a huge Trubisky fan, but I thought just the opposite. Watch the video at the 1:16 clip with both QBs throwing at the same time. Trubisky’s throw is a dart! Very tight spiral, and thrown on a line. His mechanics do look much better than they did last year, so let’s hope he is fully recovered from his shoulder issue. The best thing for the Bears moving forward would be for Trubisky to revert back to a better version of the 2018 QB that he was. If not, we are drafting a new QB next year and hoping that the rookie will be able to learn behind Foles. That just sets the Bears back at least three more years before they would have their next QB of the future. I did look up their combine results, Foles (57 mph) does throw harder than Trubisky (55 mph), but Tyler Bray (59 mph) throws harder than both of them.

@George Gray 1:16 doesnt really show anything because Mitch was throwing deep vs a shorter route so of course the velocitys are different. It was just an observation that it seemed that Foles had a bit more zip after watching the video. Nothing more then that..

    Eli Mendoza

@George Gray if Trubisky doesn’t do well, i don’t think the bears would draft a Qb next year for the purpose to overtake foles, they payed him money to be there he won’t be just some bridge quarterback, he has won big games and knows how to be a leader, if Trubisky isn’t on point this will be foles team

Foles lookin hella nice

Jose Alvarez

How many likes from the trubisky fans

B. Svpreme

Only seen 4 or 5 throws from Mitch and I instantly saw a change in his mechanics, now his throws don’t look like side arm passes. Foles’ arm is looking good too, zippin the ball out there. Hopefully we find our guy for Week 1 and/or the rest of the season.

    foch41

huh? 1 ball the TE was standing there waiting for it to get to him, another ball he threw the WR out of bounds. He looks like the same scrub he’s always been

    Greg Majewski

@foch41 shutup and let me buy you an orange kool-aid

    B. Svpreme

foch41 And that scrub is making millions in the league… But yeah, I didn’t say his throws were amazing or anything. There’s an obvious difference in his throwing mechanics though, which I think could help him a bit.

    William Ohl

I think you have to go with Foles and hope he stays healthy. Foles has been there, done that, won that. . Mitch has just been there.

Kory Stewart

Rooting for ya #10. Prove us wrong. 🐻⬇️

    Bendboss

Michael Stovall I said he would be the mvp in 2019 and now my friends won’t let me forget

    J Dolo

@Michael Stovall exactly…prove them wrong!!!! Wtf he talking bout? Real fans see the hate. Nobody wants chicago to ever have franchise qb bc we always have run and defense. Jcutty had #1 offense with trestman yr 1 and still top 10 yr2. Bc he had all the pieces around him. But instead of just fixing defense….jcutty got all the blamed and team gets broken up. Mitch is not the problem. Its on nagy. Dont even matter who qb. His Play calling and decision making before every snap is why we lost.

    Kory Stewart

@J Dolo i think youre missing my point. Our QBs haven’t earned being franchise QBs. No one wants them to fail, fans are just reacting to failure. I could tell you all the reason Rex Grossman COULD have worked.

But he didnt. Thats the important part

    J Dolo

@Kory Stewart rex GROSSman would never work. No matter who mentored or developed. That’s not case with mitch. He has tremendous upside. The issue is wweapons around him protection and most importantly PROPER DEVELOPMENT. We let fake fans haters and media …overlook the obvious. Then make a dumb decision. …mitch was a project from draft period. Least experienced 1st rd pick ever. Coming into a rebuild and new INEXPERIENCED HC/PLAY CALLER. Got rid of jcutty and let Glennon be his mentor. Of all the vets past 4 yrs. …really. anyone could take his job. Mitch had success. Injuries and lack of OL protection, catching wrs, no run game and worst play calling and coaching decisions in history ….yet he getting the blame. Not nagy. Cant blame defense either. Fangio was real coty not him. He’s the problem. Not anybody else.

    J Dolo

@Kory Stewart how do you earn being a franchise qb??? Having all the physical traits. Playing thru the ups and downs.. Winning record. Probowler. Playoffs. Clutch moments. Playing thru injuries. Not forcing TOs. Taking the blame vs pointing fingers. Showing you verbally team leader. Passionate. The only qb we’ve had doing that in franchise history is mitch. But what he NOT GETTING IS TIME TO BE PROPERLY DEVELOPED , PROTECTION, PRODUCTIVE WEAPONS (-AROB), and GOOD PLAY CALLING . Who does that fall on….nagy. the great qb whisperer and play caller that never did either anywhere. Yet he the mfn HC during a rebuild. WE NEED A FRANCHISE HC not qb.

Ryan Brown

Oh my SWEETNESS!!! BEARS BEARS BEARS!!!

Tom Anderson

I like that the Bears added a bunch of size at TE. I know they had size before at TE but doesn’t matter when the TE’s suck. The new guys at TE should make things easier on everybody else on the offense. That was a big problem for the Bears in recent years, lacking big targets for QB to throw to. That trickles down into trouble getting first downs, and trouble in the red zone. Now they have guys to suck up coverage in the middle of the field, which will give the guys outside more one-on-one opportunities. They also have speedsters who can take the top right off the defense. I just hope Nagy can be creative enough to use them all to their strengths.
