Great episode, gents; let’s hope all these draft-picks pans out.

The gaping hole is at LG. Linderbaum is light and the fear is a continuation of being bullied up front. Biadasz / Farniok are okay for this year and both bigger. Tyler Smith was the best O Lineman at 24 that could fill LG and possibly grow to be LT. I think you leave him at LG this year.

    Jim Hollywood

@K _____ In your opinion. Again for at least the fourth time I will say they picked the best LG available. Who is in their opinion athletic enough to possibly move outside. Many teams do that with potential LTs. Play at LG and then move out. It is most likely that Tyler stays at LG in “my” opinion. A T is more valuable than a G most of the time. Martin was just so good at RG he stayed there. LT is a critical position and for this team it matters. Tyron will miss many games this year and over time they need to replace him.

    K _____

@Jim Hollywood it’s facts not opinion. All these guys they drafted with versatility are only really good at one spot. Why I should I think different of this guy? Jus throw him at guard cause that’s where the hole is? Then when smith misses throw him out at tackle? Yea that’s gonna work out lol.

    Jim Hollywood

@K _____ LOL. As an Engineer I understand very well how one persons facts are really their opinions. Collins moved out from guard and was successful at RT. His issues were not related to football unfortunately. Martin can play RT but is just a foundation at RG. And maybe you are a young guy and forget how good the Cowboys line was in the past where they could move around. But for the fifth time they picked a very young player to likely start at guard who had the potential to compete for T in the future. many of the so called tackles in this draft project to playing guard at least to start. Only the very top picks at T start their their first year. You have to be picking earlier in the draft to get those. Later in the draft you have to be willing to develop talent. It is hit and miss.

@Jim Hollywood I heard a lot about Zion being a very smart guy and actually would be best at center because of his IQ

From what I recall, Connor and McGovern were rated great picks for when they were drafted at their positions. Even then it was said that Connor would need to develop strength. You can’t draft what you want if that type player isn’t available in the round he’s graded for.

I’ve learned to just watch the boys and not expect anything from them. Just enjoy the good times.

Danny Savage

As a line coach I teach him to block with boxing 🥊 gloves on so he don’t hold !

Danny Savage

This is has to first draft in like 27 plus years that I seen 5 picks used on trench players 2 O line 1 TE 2 D line .

    Rodney's Next Chapter

That was how Jimmy Johnson liked doing things

deltonsr

Them coaches lack that nasty attitude, Quinn seems like the only one close to having it, thats why I said draft whoever but it’s up to the coaches to help them succeed.

Tony Ho

Did you all see that? 4th round pick offensive tackle Waletzko caught a pass in the red zone. I like it!!!! At this point I think he is actually more polished as a tackle than Tyler Smith.

Brian LaBounty

I don’t see our team fighting each other why take it out on your teamate or brother when you can take it on the your opponents but I do see de Williams and the Lionheart #11 PARSONS having a sack competition this yr and a challenge in a 40 yard dash . tank might feel left out and might part take in on the fun . let’s go COWBOYS!! 🤠

Lance Zierlein’s scouting analysis on Jake Ferguson (TE):
“Durable, reliable and consistent, Ferguson comes from a football family. He had copy-and-paste receiving production throughout his career despite playing in a limited passing attack with inconsistent quarterback play. He has outstanding ball skills, including a rare level of concentration to make challenging catches in the face of oncoming collisions. While he gives effort as a blocker, he wasn’t a great fit for what Wisconsin asks of their tight ends in the running game and he’s likely to be overmatched if asked to take on defensive ends in the NFL. He is a solid receiver and a below-average blocker with TE2/3 potential.”

    Rodney's Next Chapter

Dalton Schultz was a terrible receiver coming out of college and known as a very good blocker.
Both turned up to be the opposite in the NFL

With back fusion , the higher up the less problematic and the less invasive the better. It sounds like upper neck and minimally invasive. All back surgery is not a good thing but given location, age and physical condition, the prognosis is very hopeful! He is also a very driven young man, a trait shared by all his draft classmates!

Robert Fetrow

Pretending Randy Gregory is this suddenly reliable starters for the cowboys is fools gold. We are fortunate the deal fell through and Gregory left. He played extremely well last season but he was horrid in the playoffs and injured during the season

Strut Strutter

i am very happy wit h our blocking tight end. I am an OLD SCHOOLER Cowboys fan and all throughout our history our tight ends have AMWAYS blocked.

@57:14 Nate tells a story from the 1994 training camp about OUR Strong Safety at that time James Washington. Now Jamess’ nickname was “Drive-by” because he was from the Compton area of Los Angeles. Well it was NOT a 7 on 7 drill but there was a NO hitting during the session. Well it was a low key practice and since SB 28 and his great game he was feeling himself a little bit more and on a slant Jamed RACKED up Alvin Harper. Troy went crezy and charged @ James who was also his college teammate. I have a HUGE pullout of the incident from the Dallas Morning News, Troy is being held back yelling and Harper is on the field, I think James was seeing how much they could get away with since it was Switzer’s first camp.

EVERY DRAFT IS REALLY BOOM OR BUST…
