I think the positive inspiration comes naturally and doesnt cost him anything in terms of energy. Where he’s struggled is discipline, guys wanting to hold out and not show for camp has hurt us. A younger hungrier roster seems to suit him best if you ask me!

@Toxy I hope you are right, many things have gone wrong this season, I don’t believe that Russ is suddenly a mediocre Q. B., I think he’s only now recovering properly from the injury, something has to change though, i think Waldron and Norton Jr need to move on.

@Graham Smith Ive been hating on Ken for a couple years but I think he’s actually done a good job this year. Considering the injuries in the secondary and the amount of snaps theyve had to play I think its impressive to be top-10 in points allowed. When it comes to Waldron Im hesitant to judge him for similar reasons, its tough on any OC to lose guys like Carson+Wilson and Shane probably had Pete affecting play calls too. I forget if they had to do virtual meetings this year during the offseason but that would make installing a new offense that much harder. I havent been impressed with the Offense at all this year but Im just trying to be fair to Shane, first year guy who faced plenty of adversity. Hoping our young additions on the O-line and Penny playing like a starter really open things up for Russ+Shane moving forward. Hope youre having a nice new year man 🤘😁

@Toxy Going to have to disagree on KNJ we have progressively gotten worst on defense i think we are ranked 31st takes bend dont break way to far…..defense cant be on the field for 40 minutes of the game. I wont forgive him for dropping defensive linemen into coverage on a consistent basis…..Waldron first year i give him some latitude plus Russ injury was a huge set back.

@Toxy yes,I agree with what you say,the word on Norton Jr is that similar to Rob Ryan,his defensive schemes are so incredibly complex that only he understands them and by the time everyone else has caught up,half of the season has gone which seems to fit.It would be only fair and right to give Shane a chance,as you say,he’s had plenty of adversity to overcome but something the modern NFL business lacks is time and patience.I’m having a fine new year,hope you are too.✌👍😊

I’ll admit I’ve hated on Penny a bit but man he turned me around these last few games. Quandre on the other hand.. best defender on our team all year! Hope we keep both!

no I’m not new, and I am a fan. I’ve heard them mockingly called the seachickens for years yes, by 49er fans, rams fans etc. I’ve never heard someone intelligent who supports this team call them that on SB Nation/fieldgulls etc.

@Nick Dubesa I get where he’s coming from though. A lot of frustrations have been building up for a while. And with our team having the worst record in 10 years, there’s bound to be a lot of criticism, even from fans. I would like to see Pete go, then Russ be evaluated and have him possibly go to. That’s where I’m at, I love Pete, but I feel he needs to go.

@Bobby SavageHill I agree, it is frustrating and that would be a decent course of action, Pete is stubborn and I don’t get his decisions. I was just surprised how fast fans are turning on the team and mocking their name, seems like kind of a bandwagon move. Anyhow, I don’t really want to debate anyone, it’s not worth it.

@Nick Dubesa Understandable. Before our last game with the Rams, I was thinking the Pete and Russ marriage was one that was better to stick out. But after that I changed my opinion pretty quick. I mean we ran it on a 3rd and 6 with less than 5 mins in the 4th quarter. That just isn’t winning football. So, I might be a bandwagon guy, but I had just had enough at that point. Even after a 12 – 4 season where I had high hopes.

@Bobby SavageHill I remember that 3rd and 6 run. Pete does so many things well, then gets in his own way and takes everything down with him. We all see it coming but he still doesn’t somehow. Seems like arrogance… Screen passes, repeatedly running when we can’t get yards on 3rd down, running it even on 3rd and 22. Way back that super bowl pass formation at the goal line, everyone knew it was a mistake before it even happened. Something isn’t right with him sometimes.
