Love the idea of signing football players especially on short non cap busting deals, but would personally prefer the Giants hoard as much of their cap to re-sign their own young guys in the next few seasons. And try to trade away Engram with Solder for more draft capital. Wills or Wirfs(day one), Epenesa, Claypool, and/or Biadasz day two.
Joseph Marc dont worry my boy, I’ve done my research. Next year the Giants will have $84 million in cap space, plus the cap will increase next year so add an extra 10-12 mil. $94 million plus if we cut bate Soilder he only eats 4 million in dead cap on 2021 and he’s due for a 20 million dollar contract. So if we cut him we would save $16 million so add that to $94 million. $110 million. Oooooweeeeeee you can go look it up to I’m 100% correct my friend. Gettleman did a beautiful Job at creating good structured contracts. I’m telling you, if everyone just stayed patient, this is what gettleman has been working towards. Longevity, not 1 year success. Be excited for next year too. Although it won’t be $110 million becuase of rookie contracts and other stuff just know we’ll have more than this offseason. #GiantsPride
I like what they’ve done so far with more of the front loading short term deals. Keeps them out of future cap trouble. But still need pass rush and Oline badly. I’m hoping they can trade back in the draft and acquire more draft picks. They need a lot to keep rebuilding this team.
