Love how he’s the gm and yet is out everywhere even doing all the media stuff with the players and coaches I never seen Dave do any of this lol

    KING DEVON

I rather see RESULT’S! After the draft, the next I want to see our new GM is when he is holding up the Lombardi trophy (after winning the 2022/23 season Super Bowl) named after a famous former NEW YORK FOOTBALL 🏈 GIANTS Family/Staff Member (Vince Lombardi) who should’ve been out head coach year’s ago instead of Green Bay whom he won Super Bowl Championship’s for.

    Andrew Arbuckle

We have heard more from Schoen in 4 months than we did from Gettleman in 4 years.

    P7wer Morris

    Gettleman was a clown 🤡

    James Snee

That is because the GM position has changed in the NFL. Being able to pick good players is still the big part but now these guys have to be able to communicate with everyone. Media, fans not just players and the owner. Thats the job now.
Gettleman has gone the way of the dinosaur.

Tyrone Bowman

Great interview (as usual) love the Size Azeez put on, looks much bigger now than on draft day!

Andrew Arbuckle

Interesting he mentioned OT and CB as the premium positions being paid in the offseason and not Edge. One week out, I’ll guess OT #5 (Neal, Okwonu, Cross) and CB #7 (Gardner, Stingley).

    stephen2015

I agree but I don’t think they’ll touch stingly. It will be cross at 5 then I think gardner at 7 unless he is gone then they go edge with Johnson.

    Andrew Arbuckle

@stephen2015 that seems likely actually. CBs are valuable.

    Thomas Mulligan

And we know those guys at edge and wide receiver were getting 30 mil this offseason. Probably do see them take all those positions at some point in this draft

    stephen2015

@Andrew Arbuckle I’m also high on Robinson. Last year they were surprised he was still there in the third so they traded up to get him. He was a highly rated man cover guy. Flawed in zone but excelled in man. He also ran a 4.39 at his pro day. He SHOULD BE a great fit for winks defense based on his skill set. A man corner that can fly and is VERY good against the run and a good blitzer. I think they will go Gardner if he is there but I don’t see them going corner until the 3rd or 4th earliest if they can’t get Gardner. I would see them going for one of the “toolsy” type corner projects a little later instead of trying to fit a corner that’s doesn’t excell in man coverage into winks defense. I think Bradbury will be gone more cause he isn’t a fit than the money. The whole “cap hell” narrative is just false. They are projected to be 80+ mill under the cap next year before any cuts. They have several guys they can move on from next year easily to get that number next year over 100 mill under the cap. The way they structured deals there is no issue extending Bradbury a cpl years to free up a lot of money IF they thought Bradbury was a good fit for winks defense. I just don’t think they see him as a good fit.

@stephen2015 we would be stupid to take cross over Neal or Ikem.. Neal is going to be Trent Williams

I liked Judge & he probably deserved another year but we really faltered at the end of the year. We just had to clean house & start fresh. I think it was important we got a GM & Head Coach with experience & winning pedigree like Schoen & Daboll had. Also, they’ve worked together for several years & have a shared philosophy & vision which will only benefit them & us. I think we found a great GM & excellent Head Coach.

You can sense the change here. There is an optimism & energy. Even the players are excited. The Giants media team posted videos on guys like Golloday, Lawrence & Leonard Williams. They have said some great things like wanted to be prepared & setting the tone by being here even during voluntary workouts. Williams stated that good coaching is great but the players have to take ownership & execute. They are showing they want to work & win. The thing that has struck me most about Schoen & Daboll is their authenticity. Players appreciate that. They are willing to work but want fairness, consistency & communication. I think they have shown they know how to coach & manage. I expect a much more competitive team. They are sick of losing. Can’t wait for the draft & the season. Let’s Go! Go Giants!

Ojulari & Thomas are cornerstones of the future. Thomas turned out to be a brilliant pick after some early struggles & criticism. The Goants got some criticism for trading down & not taking Slater or Parsons. However we ended up moving down & getting the dynamic Kadarius Toney & if we take Parsons we likely don’t pick Ojulari. Ojulari isn’t a big drop off from Parsons. He had a sneaky quiet but excellent rookie year. So we ended up with Toney, Ojulari plus extra picks this year. If we get some good picks this year, it will be worth trading down for not only the quantity of picks we got for trading down but we also got excellent quality. In the end, we got extra picks & we really didn’t sacrifice any quantity. We did well by trading down even though we passed on excellent players like Slater & Parsons. I think we made out better overall.

This is what a GM & head coach being aligned looks like God bless🤝

Kvng Rell

loving the front office and coaching we have now

Andrew Arbuckle

I’d like to say I LOVE to see all the former G-men involved in the production of this segment. Lots of SB champions!

redpepperdave

Watching this new regime build a roster is going to be fun over the few years.

dcrijo

Great interview…can’t wait for draft night!

steven walker

These guys are awesome! I really hope their actions back up their talk

Shaan Patel

Seeing these clips of Schoen and Daboll makes me cautiously optimistic about the team’s future. Finally seems like the team is on an actual rebuild track instead of the seemingly directionless past few years we’ve had. Hope their actions match their words! Go Big Blue

The Earl14

Great job Bob and Carl! This video was well orchestrated. Nice piece by “Salsa Cruz” and always love it when Diehl and O’Hara get together and analyze the lineman. Ikey’s my personal choice, but Neal, Penning, and Cross are not exactly chopped liver. We need OT’s with an attitude. I am fine with any of the DE’s. Baldy mentioned Jeremy Ruckert. He’s my answer, but the TE class is deep as well. Why is Jalen Wydermyer not getting the love?

MrJayGNYC

Evan Neal at 5 and Jermaine Johnson at 7🎉

carson kremlik

With Charles Cross, i’m worried he gets bull rushed into the center of the pocket a lot,
and is there a back up plan if he does not work out at tackle? Can he play guard?
I think Neal and Ekwonu have less bust-risk. Another name getting bandied about for the Giants
that i have reservations about is Logan Hall- see his tape versus Parham. i would skip
Hall and consider drafting Parham for center/guard, very quick, stalwart. You might get a day 3
starting center in Parham, and not get one in Hall in higher rounds.

No one gonna talk abt how HUGE AZ LOOKING!!?

James Snee

I don’t think there is just one way to build a winning team. But I have watched how my Bills have done it the past four years. I watched 2 guys with a plan seemingly do the right thing and say the right thing almost every time. Just like a fan would want. It was like a dream come true. It was no quick fix but every day in every way they got better.
I see the Giants with the same potential led by a couple of smart guys who were a part of that now putting together their own team.
I find this fascinating.
Good luck Giants!

Rick Kemner

So far, we’ve witnessed the beginning of rebuilding the Giants to the level of performance that we all want! I’m optimistic for the future, recognizing that improvement and development will not occur overnight!

Salvatore Mautone

Giants media has stepped up its game with these types of videos. Great work.

pete dagreek

If the Giants manage to win week one, that 1-0 record will not only be better then their 0-2 starts for the last five years. It will also be the first time in those five years they have had a record of over .500. Has a fan all I ask for now is a week one win and that’s already a more successful season than the last five.
