The Measure of Success will be How many Draft Picks Make The 53 man roster and Start 💜💛

    Robert Harrie

    Couldn’t have said it better!!

    MJ

    4 maybe 5

MnLifer

We added solid players in positions of need. Cline and Booth will immediately make our defense better. Engram may actually start at RG this year too. LFG

    Julian fox

    Ummmm💁‍♂️🙇‍♂️

    Kou Yang

couldve got another starter in dean instead of asamoah :/

    Rob E

@Kou Yang The coaches want speed and tackling – Asamoah is quicker and bigger. Dean was a media darling that the league did not like.

    Pyhäpyhimys

@Kou Yang deans shoulder is cooked

    Jimmy Spilotro

    Awful draft

God teach me to pray your word

In the first round pick you should of pulled a Rick Spielman, (throw in a 7th)

David Wilkins

I strive to be a glass half full kind of person, and I’m optimistic about the new leadership. But…I’m still confused about that 1st round business. And after looking at the total wrap-up, it makes even less sense. But I’m going to be philosophical, and wait to see what this crew produces. There’s more to it than one draft, and no doubt, this duo will improve with experience.

But I do have one overall suggestion, even if it seems cosmetic. Please stop with all the “collaboration” talk. Collaboration is fine in it’s place, but just as often that emphasis leads to a muddled mess where nothing powerful or well-directed happens.

    Blazing Flock1128

The “collaboration” is also known as “too many cooks in the kitchen.” I doubt Kwesi actually has much say.

Wanna know why this looked like a Spielman draft in many ways? Because rob bresinzki is still in the building. Ryan grigson I’m sure is also interjecting. And above all, I believe the wilfs (and other minority owners) are meddling.

I do not believe Kwesi truly has “the keys” and “freedom” to make his own decisions. I am now beginning to question whether Spielman did, as well.

    Mitchell Rauscher

@Blazing Flock1128 well seeing zygi right in the middle of the draft room is not a great sign. I understand he’s the Owner so he technically runs the whole thing but he needs to let the guys he got to just do their job and trust that they can make this team better. Not saying he can’t have a say but it doesn’t help when he’s getting onvolved all the time

2 Tone Udon

People will never be happy you have to give Kwesi and Kevin some time to grow they are both young and they have a different vision. The only thing I didn’t like was what we got in moving back 20 spots in the 1st I’m glad we got Cine he’ll be a beast but only time will tell on all the picks. I like how the were aggressive moving around trying to make things happen.

    Ev

Yeah, to move up 20 spots in the first round should take a lot, especially when trading with someone in our own division. I don’t think we got enough in that situation, what? Moving up 12 spots in the 2nd, and another 3rd. Not good enough, but you are right about KAM and KOC being young.

    Jeff Bennett

their different vision looked remarkably similar to our offseasons over the last few years.

    Frode Brynjar

We should give KAM and KOC a chance damnit. Even though it’s been quite a frustrating NFL draft, it still wasn’t that bad

mahtomedi1997

I swear every time I watch one of his interviews any doubts I had go away afterwards

    Julian fox

I’ll doubt it till they prove it. After what he did in the first round this year. 🙇‍♂️

    Dylan Wilshire

@Julian fox we got a great player in the first round lol.

J J

There is always a level of uncertainty and some people handle uncertainty with anger and anxiety. We need to relax and see how it all plays out.

Johnny Teach

Admittedly I panicked as a fan in the first 2 rounds because they took some really big chances but I have to give it to them they pulled off the best Vikings draft in years. Looks like the organization is in great hands for years to come.

    Jeff Bennett

wow I couldn’t disagree more this was a terrible draft

    Rob E

You’re on too it Johnny. Kwesi is looking 2 years ahead – that’s a bit further than some fans.

    Dwayne Deveaux

@Jeff Bennett Lol. you watched another draft did you?

Matt Lucht

Kwesi its alright to say BLOW PACK BLOW!! 🤣

Trent Fox

He didn’t make a mistake they clearly had players they wanted and they got them booth and cine are gonna kill it

    Rob E

They knew exactly what they wanted. The more I study and learn about the picks the clearer the plan becomes. Fast, long, hard tackling D. High character smart guys – not negotiable.
Competition everywhere for our incumbents and back ups – Safety, CB, LB, DT/Edge, OG, RB, WR2/3.

    Anthony Leydens

@Rob E I’m glad we are getting athletes who can tackle. Tired of slow good character guys, or fast guys that fold like paper sacks when tackling.
Love the picks, especially ty chandler

K FT

Evaluate what other teams were able to get to move down: New England got 816 in value for the 21st pick valued at 800. The Titans got 715 in trade value for the 26th pick valued at 700. Tampa Bay got 680 for the 27th pick valued at 680. The Vikings got 975 in trade value for the 12th pick valued at 1200. Kwesi pissed away the value of an additional high 3rd round pick. The Detroit media was laughing about how little the Lions gave up, to get the 12th pick. The quality of the players the Vikings drafted is inconsequential, they should have gotten more compensation for the 12th pick. We should have been able to talk about another good player that we drafted in the 3rd round. Spielman got more value trading down 9 spots last year getting 1180 in compensation for the 14th pick valued at 1100.

    Tony

He was desperate to trade back. Smaller contract for a 32 vs 12. Plus he thinks there’s better value in rounds 2-3.

Anthony Leydens

Loved the trades and the picks! Got two starters for sure and lots of guys that will play and contribute. Also appreciate getting athletes that can tackle and have a not around here attitude.
Props, and stay blessed up!

    F Draft

James Lyon

I wish we could once draft best player available. Need always get you into trouble. Ask Rick about that. What else is he going to say about the process of his draft. I wish we had GMs Like the LIONS, Steelers, Ravens, and Chiefs! They were awesome in the draft. We got another Rick. We really are running it back. We just have a different coach!

    TheITGuy

No. We got 4 or 5 players of decent starting ability. Rick would get like 6 7th rounder practice squad bench warmers

    James Lyon

@TheITGuy You have no idea that is true. I am sure you can’t predict the future. Rick also got us thielen, Jefferson, diggs, hunter, smith. Kwesi has not given us any all pros yet and that is fact.

Peace Everyone

When you screw up big time you cover up big time. LOL let’s go Brandon football!

WisconsinVike

I seriously think the first two words Kwesi uttered as a child were GREAT and COLLABORATION.
Every question is great, every player on the team is great
after the Lions and Packers sweep us this year with their new great(ha,ha) receivers I hope Kwesi’s name is included in the accolades
after all, it’s all about collaboration!

    Frode Brynjar

What makes you think they’re going to sweep us this year!? We have fucking Za’Darius Smith from the Packers and also we got Brian Asamoah, with other experienced defensive players and of course new defensive players that will have to go above and beyond to make the team and to learn from the pros

Espresso Dave

big red flag when you (Kwesi) think you’re smarter then everybody else and seem to value lower draft choices more than 1st round, for example. Hope he learns a lot from his first draft, just use your draft choices, #12, rather then trying to outsmart every one else.

Espresso Dave

c’mon reporters, none of them questioned kwesi on trading #12, on trading with packers and lions.

Boom Bam

Looks like they wanted speed & good tackling. Im ok with that!

None

i have a vision too- getting a new GM for this team – one that knows what they can get at #12, and doesn’t trade away higher numbers for crap numbers at the bottom of the draft list. GET SOMEONE THAT HAS FOOTBALL EXPERIENCE. All the football analysts are saying the the Vikings did not trade very well. Kwesi did not get great value. Remember the word “collaboration?” WHY DIDN’T YOU USE THAT WHEN YOU WERE MAKING YOUR SELECTIONS? MARK WILF SHOULD HAVE STEPPED IN AND TOLD HIM WE ARE NOT TRADING DOWN FOR #12!!!! kwesi did not get all the players this team needed for specific positions.

Clinton Reisig

B+ from me. GOOD JOB!
