I think we can agree that Herbert is right now a Superbowl ready QB. We really need to get him a receiver that can take full advantage of his elite arm skills

no no no. We need to give him a head coach and coaching staff if we want to see a ring ANYWHERE in the future.

Four teams in the AFC have a better record than the Chargers. Five teams in the NFC have a better record. Frankly, I am THRILLED that the Chargers have scrapped together five wins with soooooo many injuries. Critical injuries, not just depth guys or even regular starters, but All pro and Pro Bowl and leadership guys.

If they can piece together a few more and start getting the “dudes” back. Antyhing goes.

Awesome podcast, guys. Really good analysis on a number of different topics.

IMO, this season could end with a whimper, not a bang… or it could be one of those iconic NFL Films seasons that follow a promising young team with a promising (or beleaguered) staff, depending on your outlook, who enters the season with their eyes on the prize, only to be totally razed by injury by the middle of game 2. Injuries, not just the casual kind but debilitating injuries to All Pro and Pro Bowl starters and beyond. Justin gets his ribs devastated such that he looks like a shadow of his former self. The compromised team gets blown out, fights for ugly terrible wins and they claw their way to the end of the regular season and start to get their team back together. They scrabble into the back end of the tournament, get most of their stars back on the field and fight their way into contention and beyond.

It could be amazing. And the next two weeks will presage a lot of that possibility. If they can go one and one against the Niners and Chiefs, that keeps them right on the cusp. If they lose both, they still have a chance but it is difficult. If they were to win both, freaking look out.

The promising thing is that Justin Herbert had the zip on Sunday. His movement and his throwing were totally different than they have been foe the past five-six weeks. He had that “thing”, that swagger that can propel a team to believe that they can overcome. Even when they lost around 25 yards on the double fumble with 34 seconds left in the game… it felt preordained. THAT is what has been missing. Give him back his weapons and look the **** out.

Yes, we could miss the playoffs and have everyone pile even more onto the coaching staff (even though they have done a remarkable job keeping a leaky, listing ship afloat and moving forward). Or we could still resurrect the promise of this team starting out this season. I prefer to keep up the hope until it proves to be a mirage.

I feel like what drew was referring to is that they are accustomed to being a reaction team. Reacting to the adversity instead of taking the lead and keeping it.

I love my team ⚡

I think the biggest takeaway this week was, is Palmer for real or not and can he step up because we’ve been waiting for that. We’ve been waiting for that game where he balls out and becomes that #1. Always hanging around Keenan and trying to absorb that Wr 1 energy, it was his coming out party. He always showed flashes. We were just waiting for that game. I think what this does is 1 allows for joshuas confidence to keep rising but also, when Keenan and Mike come back, he’ll be ready to be that security blanket. His routes, toughness, and clutch catches were very telling of what’s to come. He shook off that tipped pass that led to an int and made big catch after big catch. Can’t wait to see what he brings in the next few weeks!

Bolts are holding their own, hopefully we get healthy come November/December.

physically healthy won’t win more games. Mentally healthy will. Until Staley and his clown staff are fired they will NEVER be a championship team.

As fans , we agree a win is a win, though this season the wins don’t feel victorious and dominating. My confidence for the team going into each week feels low. I understand the players care, but I’m not sensing high team energy. Much Luck moving forward.

TooHonestButTrue

Sunday game was flexed just like Hayley said!

Alex Moffat

Herbert caused the fumble that saved the game clear as day. As soon as the Falcons lineman saw Herbert heading at him a full speed he instantly dropped the ball because he was more worried about getting hit and trying to avoid Justin and completely forgot that he had a ball in his hands.
