    Ray Perkins messed up a lot of plays, as well as generally not being a great fit in NE. The pats like to throw a lot of checkdowns and short plays to gain yardage in passing, and Phillip Dorset’s strength lies as a deep threat, not a super technical short pass receiver.

If he’s as attentive to the details as it seems, he’ll be just fine with Russ. Guys like dissly and kearse from back in the day were never really great physical players, but since they’re on the same page as Russ, they succeeded. That’s also why Hollister worked out pretty well after dissly went down. So long as you are able to go where Russ wants you to, he’ll give you the ball and we’ll win games.
