nice breakdown, thanks for the video.

Robert Harrie

Lions offense is legit. If they can improve their defense they could be a force in the years to come. Vikings need to play very well to beat them this week

    GetWith ThaPaint

    They’ve already started too🥶

    Gary Rentschler

The Lion’s are getting 5 of the 1st 45 in the upcoming draft, including the 3-9 Rams top pick, from the Stafford trade. Watch out for the Lions next year!!! They’re going to be loaded. Ford field is going to be a HORNET’S NEST for teams. These LONG suffering Lion’s fans are in for a treat!!

    Larry Moralez

DET Defense since making changes to the coaching staff and getting healthy(5 weeks):

    57.4% completions-1st
    74.9 passer rating-2nd
    7 ints-1st
    DVOA-6th

    Alvarez

@Larry Moralez was just gonna post that. Their defense is almost top after getting rid of AP. Everyone thought they fired the wrong guy, smh

SJ Hanson

The first thing I see is the amazing pocket that Goff is getting. Any QB can pick apart a Defense when he’s got that much of a pocket. The key is going to be pressure on Goff! Make him throw the ball before he wants to! That’s it! Blitz, blitz, blitz.

    Gary Rentschler

lol…pick your poison:) The Lion’s running game will burn a blitz.

    Mike Bradt

Vikes blitz-lions screen, Vikes blitz-st brown crossing pattern for 5 yds turns in to 15yds . Vikes blitz-lions run a draw with Jamal for 8 yds

    Gary Rentschler

@Mike Bradt That’s why the Lion’s have to scratch those empty backfield plays!! Just asking for trouble with those!!

    oldwolf

Um Goff is very good against the blitz

ADHD Man to the rescue

Also Jameson Williams (you know the guy we traded detroit in the draft) the speedster is active our corner depth is depleted

    Independent Aquaman

@Toasty True, though Williams was Holmes’ 2nd pick in 2022. Hutchinson was the 1st.

    Rob E

@Toasty Could be, but Williams has already missed more time than most expected, and as I noted that is a risk that Kwesi decided not to take with his first pick.

    Rob E

@D W I think you’ll find that as I was discussing Louis Riddick suggesting the rookie GMs rarely risk selecting an injured player with their first pick, and therefore Kwesi Adofo Mensah, by not selecting the injured Jameson Williams at 12 with his first ever pick, in fact did follow Riddick’s advice.
So please read the full sentence in context before before playing.

    Michael Maas

He would have been the top receiver in the draft if not for the injury

Lynn Ogard

Super breakdown, keep doing these and also with KO.

Hugh Janus

Great analysis and video! Keep up the good work

jweezy2912

Goff bout to light it up.😂

Chris S

Goff surprisingly good last few weeks??? fairly consistent all season. it’s y he’s a top 10 qb running a top 5 offense

Ryannew Azada

Minnesota Vikings must perform better than the first time in US Bank Stadium in the rushing game. Plus, they need to win the line of scrimmage to keep the Lions offense from going wild from a defensive standpoint. Great review Pete.🤜🤛😄⛅📼🤙🎓💪🌟👀🤲🔅🔍👍😎🤠💰🤓😇🙌👐🐕🐶🏡

    Gary Rentschler

The Lion’s O line is as healthy as its been all year. This game is going to be a shootout…lol

Gary Rentschler

Alabama hotshot Jameson Williams is going to get some reps:)) If that guy hits a home run deep, Ford field’s roof may collapse…lol

Bandito

Lions are going to need to limit Jefferson catches again. Hock will probably make some noise because lions LB aren’t good. Comes down to Goff and the lions o line like usual. If he has the time, They will drop 30

Jake Kingsbury

Let’s Go Lions!!!

Montarctica

Good analysis.. It’s fun to hear another teams analyst give us credit where it’s deserved. 💪🏻 🦁 🏈

    RunLikeHell

    One pride baby!!!!!!

    frozen north

We Minnesotans tend to be a respectful folk. Also, you’re not Green Bay, so we can be happy watching you succeed after your own long dark period 🙂

    Bjayso_wavy

@frozen northplus we did give y’all hockeson 🥱😭💯

    RunLikeHell

@frozen north yes I think we can both agree, green bay and wisconsin as a whole is just awful. Much love and respect from northern michigan.

Thomas Smith

Minnesota has a pick your poison matchup this Sunday, Vikings have a weak secondary and slow LB corps….Go Lions!

Michael Rogers

The Vikings have pretty much always had our number. Lately we’ve played them tight and even won a couple. If we win tomorrow the already unrealistic fan base will go full blown insane. We should win 8 games this year which would be a big improvement.

    Z P

    Unrealistic?

    Montarctica

I’m prepared to win out until a giant possible letdown in GreenBay like we’ve seen before. Praying this is the year they slay those demons though. Maybe greenbay can lose a couple more before then and be completely out of it.

Steve Bell

Great great video. You dont have pro tape on our Jamo Williams but hes another deep threat at 23 mph. So theres that. This has the makings of a shoot out, unless both defenses turn some screws. Guessing the second quarter is going to be nuts, especially the witching hour at 3. By then the refs will have pissed off both sides enough to just turn this into a battle royale. Detroit is more desperate, so Hutch Rodrigo and Anzalone will probably break Hockenson in half just for kicks. Detroit might lose but not before trying some trick plays and sending Hutch and the gang over the edge. Hutch still plays like a Wolverine on Saturday in Ann Arbor.

Citizen PAIN

Excellent analysis. #DETROIT, FTW!

…’cuz this AIN’T your grandpa’s same ol’ #Lions!!!!!

Who do you stop on Lion’s offense?. If I was the defensive coordinator for the Vikings I would be having nightmares.

helmedon

As a Lions fan I try to never get too excited. Lions usually find a way to lose, despite everything going for them. I’ve had no worries about the offense since Stafford’s 3rd season. It’s always the defense that is a let down. They’re playing better recently and getting healthy, but the Vikings already know how to exploit the weaknesses. Mainly the mid range passes in the middle. Missing Derrick Barns and putting Jarrad Davis in his place is concerning. Also not having a nickel corner is going to hurt. Possibly missing Will Harris generally wouldn’t be concerning, but the lack of depth back there overall is concerning. Instead of calling up AJ Parker to play nickel like everyone thought, they elevated a guy I never heard of. They’re patching together a unit.

    Michael Maas

Don’t forget the Vikings defense is second worst right next to our Lions ! And the lions offense is 7th and Vikings 20th. Lions by 12 today!

    helmedon

@Michael Maas Oh yeah, I know. It’s the games we should win that I worry about.

    Michael Maas

@helmedon 45 years as a fanskeptic here ! Lol One pride let’s go Detroit!

Michael Maas

Nice breakdown! Lions by a dozen!
