Hopefully he can take that up a notch so he can do the same thing against NFL receivers.

Continuing physical maturity should also help. Many of these young players take a few years to move up to starting or contributing roles.

I really like Akayleb especially how often he gets his and on the ball. It was really noticeable in the Senior Bowl one on ones when most CBs were getting beaten, but he was able to disrupt nearly every play. Booth will have his ands full beating Akayleb to the field and, Dantzler, Evans, Booth could be a really strong CB group for the next 5 or 6 years.

This was a wonderful & underrated draft that definitely flew under the radar.
Most needs were filled with careful study, along with physical & character fits.I especially love the speed that was added within all 3 phases of the group generally.
I expect all these young men to make the team in some capacity, as we flip this roster completely around.

@Miguel Oliva I agree. It surprises me how blind some fans, and analysts, are to the way Kwesi is transforming this roster.
It’s like everyone can only see big splash signings, and players that will start now.

I think Kwesi has rebuilt from the bottom of the roster moving on from the worst starters and upgrading the back ups in the weakest positions during FA. Then in the draft he has starting planning the transition from some of our key aging players.
I think we will see D Line and Secondary play improve significantly this season, and RG become one of the stronger positions on the O Line.
I think by 2023 Vikes fans will look up and Cousins will be the only starter over 30 left from the Zimmer regime.

I wanted us to grab TE Charlie Kolar here so bad, hope this guy works out for us!

All this hype about the rookies is great rite now, but what happens when the team starts losing games this season and they turn out to be throw backs? Could very well happen.

    Love the positivity

Actually, he does have the measurables….

He’s okay. It’s going to take time because he doesn’t have natural talent speed. You have to be realistic. He’s going to get burn against wide receiver with speed and experience, if they put him in too early.

Jeffrey Sams

He could be a gem (we hope). Kwesi specifically said this was his pick (as opposed to some of the more group oriented decisions)… If his instincts are good, maybe with coaching he can be a star… His RAS was impressive “He scored an unofficial 9.63 RAS at the Combine out of a possible 10.00. This ranked 67 out of 1806 CB from 1987 to 2022. “

I love this 2022 draft for the Vikings! They drafted speed and talent across the board. Cine: 4.38 forty. Booth: 4.38 forty. Evans: 4.46 forty. Asamoah: 4.56 forty Ty Chandler: 4.38 forty (he will make special teams, I predict. There is simply too much talent at running back for Chandler to break in at that position.) Jalen Nailor was only 4.5 at forty, but he’s a state sprint champion. His competition speed is a different level than his stop watch speed, I think. Nailor will make special teams also. Again, there is simply too much talent at wide receiver for him to break in at that position. Ed Ingram, Otomewo and Lowe will be valuable back ups at their respective positions. Kwesi had a great draft!!!

Nick Yates

I was hoping for Zyon Mccollum or Jalyn Armour Davis in his drafted spot, but after seeing the break down of him – he seems like a great pick.
