Build a O line
This Lamar contract issue has me worried. Hope we get him to a new contract now and get this resolved.
He is our future QB!
@nikeguy2 if he want more guaranteed money then let him have it. Lamar is worth every penny he gets. Also we don’t know what the Ravens already offered him so it’s not like it’s impossible that he wants to show he’s worth more.
@Texas Man94 Lamar is doing the contract himself not his Mom. His mom is his manager. And even if it was her why would that be a problem. She a lawyer she has experience in reading contracts
@J-Dog24 I just think the risk-reward is too great for that to be the situation. Something is going on.
Flacco didn’t have a 20+ million dollar cap hit in his final season. The Ravens need Lamar to get extended more than they needed it for Flacco. The team can open up about 10 million if they can get an extension with Lamar done and that might save the team from having to cut Juiceman or being forced to give him an extension, without knowing how he will come back from the knee injury. Also, the franchise tag on a QB has to be over 40 million. There is no way they can make that work next offseason without blowing up the team. The closer Lamar gets to free agency the less likely he is to sign, so you have no choice but to tag him.
@Non Ya I Feel your point of view but there are multiple players that can help the Cap other than Lamar… Ravens Have multiple players they can cut or Extend to free up to 10mil. and it doesn’t have to all be on 1 guy…. The ideal scenario is to get Lamar Signed but it isn’t the only way…. Decosta will plan for both scenarios…we will be fine
Don’t reach for O-Line. Its a good class for edge players and corners.
We can’t walk away empty handed on the OL again (I know they got Cleveland last year). We have to get a player that can step in day 1 and be effective. We played the value game last season and got burned. Can’t afford to do that again.
If we can get one of the top 3 tackles or Linderbaum at 14 it wouldn’t be a reach
Tf you talking about don’t reach for o-line have you seen this team play the last couple of years. No first year edge player is going to put this team over the top. They need to continue to build around 🎱 because he’s the reason the team is relevant anyway.
why was he talking about a qb in the beginning when we have a superstar one already
Someone asked about the QB class in this draft.
Thank goodness he and Harbaugh instituted youth into the coaching staff especially on defense. Plenty of teams now have young talented coaches on offense or defense, and the Ravens were being criticized for not have one. Well now they do. With the most draft capital in football, I could see them trading down a few spots and get an additional 2nd Round pick and still get the guy they want in the 1st Round. DeCosta always says: “We value draft picks more than anything.” This is the year they prove why the amount of draft capital matters. #TRUZZ!

@First name Last name Thats true, but looking at other teams and how young coordinators have become the cutting edge in the NFL, Harbs and EDC had to get one of their own. The guy they got just happened to be the architect of how Michigan won the BIG10.
He’s wants to make sure that Baker Mayfield doesn’t get more money. It’s personal.

Greg Roman WAS good for Lamar & CO in the early years but his history indicates he’s outgrown the needs of the players at this juncture
You have to be able to read between the lines…. Ravens are a very internally based team….They don’t like to reveal desire and plans…. So they will give the information as it benefits their plans…. take it with a grain of salt… If he doesn’t like a player he will still compliment and deflect negative energy….What they do in the office doesn’t always match what they Project in these pressers….. Learn Our Team From their actions 1st and that will give you the ear to understand their pressers
See I think you’re seeing/ understanding it wrong. He has played winning football, we were in every game he played and could’ve and in some cases should’ve won, but it wasn’t solely on him, alot of coaching decisions.

possible smokescreen, last year he talked about believing in our WR group, Packers think they were gonna get Bateman but we pick him up a pick before.

He and Lamar both get called “the human joystick” and he’s made the pro bowl as return specialist. But if not, ravens should consider drafting a RB like Max Borghi (Stanford), Kyren Williams (Notre Dame), James Cook (Georgia), Jerome Ford (Cincinnati), Zonovan Knight( NC STATE) or Rachaad White (Arizona St)❗💜
