Fix the defense! D wins championships

Jessy Gianni Manning’s defense in 2006 was ranked 23rd… The point is good offenses win just as much as good defenses do. This isn’t the 60s, 70s and 80s where defenses actually won all the championships
@Asmodeus They played great towards the end of the year and in the postseason… The Dallas cowboys have never won the super bowl without at least a top 5 defensive supporting them again I’m not saying offense is not important but if you can choose either a great D or a great O I think most coaches, league executives take the great defense

This defense will cost approximately 54m if we make these long term contracts of at-least 4 years. We use the time in between to freshen up the O-line and draft more young studs to build the future around and keep the money low. Keep the defense and Amari. Everyone else needs to go. There’s like 70 quarterbacks out there, the best QB every season does not make it to the Super Bowl, the best team does.
@Commodore Brisbane so you think you get Guys Like Chris Harris, Michael Brockers and Cory Littleton for 5-6 Mil a year? I think they all could easily get double from another Team. And you would trade dak and 2021 1st for Watt and Fritpatrick. Why would the Steelers, who got Big Ben under contract pay Franchise Tag Money (33mil) for Backup QB and give Up there best 2 Defensive Players? And who so you think will be Cowboys QB? If you sign a Guy Like Phillip Rivers, you will not save a lot of Money in comparison to a dak contract.
Tommega Orsten It would be difficult if not impossible, but I would definitely pursue it. And I agree about ben, it would be a matter of Pittsburgh actually wanting Dak or not. The trade is only to actually get something tangible for an arguably top 5 qb before he leaves. And the QB I would sign would probably be Bridgewater, to either become the face or fill the gap until we can draft someone new. Bridgewater is a solid QB and leader both on and off the field. And as far as signing “all of those players” I would only aim to do so, it’s not realistic to think that the cowboys could have that incredible of an offseason. Those are just the players I would target.
Tommega Orsten i just don’t believe the cowboys can sign Dak AND become playoff relevant year in and year out the way some of these other teams have. We’re losing 31 players as it stands right now. Can’t pay a quarter of your salary when you need 30 other people.
