Defense Leads the Way in Win Over Cowboys | Eagles Insider

Big defensive stops, takeaways and a fumble returned for a touchdown helped the defense dominate the night against Dallas. We have reaction from head coach Doug Pederson, defensive end Brandon Graham, linebacker T.J. Edwards, safety Rodney McLeod, quarterback Carson Wentz and wide receiver Jalen Reagor, plus Instant Analysis from the radio booth after the 23-9 victory moved the Eagles to 3-4-1 heading into the bye week. It wasn't a beauty, but who cares?

wentz reminds me of an employee that keeps showing up late to work. he gets reprimanded and he says he will start showing up on time but he continues to be late, then they fire him for someone that shows up on time.

good job the D holding them to only 3 FG. they were pretty air tight without that huge, gaping gerry hole in the middle.

Lets face it: Wentz is not a good QB. He is all crooked in the snap; he is tense; he doesn’t have a good shoulder movement; his elbows stays very much away of his body; does not have a quick release; and it’s not accurate.
I personally believe that a QB can’t have long arms – take Wentz and Tedd Bridgewater, for example. In fact, a QB can only have long arms if he is short, like Drew Brees.
And also the best QBs in history had and have a posture that appears calm, relaxed – Brady, Big Ben, Montana, Aaron Rodgers, Kelly, Elway, Aikman; and now Mahomes and Russell Wilson. Carson Wentz doesn’t have what it takes to be a QB in the NFL. He might be a good backup; a system backup-QB.
