These comments are hating on Vance, he was working with almost nothing last year, give the guy a break, he has the tools now give him a couple years to put the defense together, it takes time for a defense to build confidence, act as a unit and smash NFL offenses week in and week out with consistency.
I’m sorry but I have to disagree. Despite the lack of defensive talent last year (although we still had decent players), I noticed that alot of the defensive struggles was with the scheme we were running. Guys were left wide open all the time, too many 3rd and long blitzes that ended up back firing, somewhat predictable playcalling, etc

@_ JDP2104 _ I get what your saying but if you have DB’s that are rookies or very inexperienced, those things are gonna happen. In case you didnt notice our defense got much better the last 4-5 games. I dont blame anything on Vance for having a subpar defense last year BUT this year we better be stopping the run and be the “no fly zone” defense.

Everyone is out here worried that Vance will ruin Simmons they forget to think that other teams could be watching as well and yes Vance will make his answers pretty similar to others he’s never going to say how Simmons will utilize.
I’m stoked for Simmons to learn things from Bill Davis who is the one that basically groomed Nick Bosa in college and if I remember correctly everyone thought we were going to draft Nick Bosa because we hired Bill Davis.
