Dawson Knox: “A Lot of Disappointment and Sadness” | Buffalo Bills

Bills Tight End Dawson Knox addresses the media on Monday, January 23rd. Topics include: his mindset heading into the offseason after the Bills lost in the divisional round of the playoffs, what he thinks it’ll take for the team to take another step forward, what he learned about himself through the adversity of this season, how the team seemed to “run out of gas” against the Cincinnati Bengals in the divisional round, and why he appreciates the competitiveness of his teammates.

We need to establish a solid running game to take some pressure off of Allen. A restructuring of the offensive game plan is what we need, Josh can’t be the leading rusher and the QB forever he’s gonna be spent and get hurt

    agreed

Dawson Knox is NOT the answer for the Bills at TE….WAY too many important dropped passes which haven’t gotten better during his career. Josh Allen needs someone he can count on to make a catch when the team needs it, Knox doesn’t do that!

Point taken, but he did improve a lot this year. He’s nowhere near Kelsey level, but with the right amount of work, he can get there.

    Deidra Lea

Dawson is an awesome TE. Glad to have him.

    David Buell

Beginning of the season he dealt with the fresh loss of his brother. Second half of the season he improved his hands dramatically. Is his contract too big? Probably. But he has gotten far better from where he started

❤ bills !

Bill’s sacrifice the Super Bowl for a team player. The bengal’s player should’ve been penalized for what happened to #3.

    Deidra Lea

Why should he have been penalized?

    Deidra Lea

That makes absolutely NO sense. It was NO ONES fault. A complete freak accident that they hit each other at exactly the moment between Damars heart beats. Besides that, Damar is the one who was doing the tackling. Facts straight before dumb comments.

    Kev Mehl

Dumbest thing I’ve read in a while.

Or, it could have been a reaction to the COVID vaccine…

This team needs to get mad. It seems like they just don’t have any passion. They don’t have any edge. How are they not more aggressive on the field? I didn’t see any fight in them yesterday. I can’t believe I’m still saying this after 3 years of dissappointment. I expected they’d learned the lessons of 13 second, but here we are.

    bennsterrgarciaa

the 13 second nightmare was mahomes being mahomes. this season was exhausting for them and to be honest they just looked spent yesterday. they looked like it all caught up with them, the injuries, the tragedies of the city, and the overwhelming exposure that came with the damar hamlin situation. they were done yesterday

Knox is A Great Player & A Team Player…No Doubt About It, I’m Here for Next Season As A Bill Fan…No One Will Be Finger Pointing if They Won…These Guys Just Need Better Coaching, Period‼️

    David Buell

I mean that’s kind of the problem. The cracks were visible months ago but the Bills kept scraping through by the skin of their teeth and nobody faced hard questions and nothing changed. Looking back, this was inevitable

Anthony Smith

The unfortunate part is, these are the games where it has to come together. It cant happen in week 8 and that’s it.

Travis Bickle

Feel bad, Dawson is a good player getting wasted on an offense that can’t scheme

Ernest Roger

I was a little unsettled about comment Josh made in a couple interviews about winning games . He said a couple times , a win is a win no matter how you win , sometimes like that . That sounds like a defeatist attitude to me .
Maybe that was his mindset knowing his offensive line was forcing him in bad situations . Going forward this team needs more discipline and a take no survivor attitude . The only easy day you had was yesterday !
