@Josh C honestly yeah that’s the dream job. It’s lots of pressure though when you gotta make a field goal to win a game. But it’s totally worth it.

@Chad B Ertz is better and seasoned. I hate how this business works but Ertz is coming up on his later years and injury prone but has grit and played his butt off even when hurt. Management is looking down the line because Goedert has a long way to go before he is a Ertz but he’s a whole lot cheaper. It’s like when they got rid of X-man B Dawkins I was PISSED but that’s how they do these guys. Patriots could have kept Tom Brady and let him retire being on only one team. But they decided on money and power instead of talent. Tom even took less money during his career to have money for team to get better players. I hate the business of this game when comes down to older players.
@David Watts Yea it’s a catch 22, do you hold on to the loved franchise players? Or make a business decision and bring in younger faster guys. Cox will have to be let go soon. It sucks but that’s football.
@FiringallCylinders It also made less sense to have 2 starting caliber TEs because Siri’s scheme doesn’t utilize 12 personnel like Pederson’s did. Goedert is nationally underrated because he played behind Ertz until midway thru this season, he’s definitely top 5 based on how he’s played since. Unfortunately, we’re going to see Cox, Graham, Kelce, Brooks, and Lane go in the next couple seasons.
@Zero Snaps Ertz can’t block and his yards after the catch barely exist. He has golden hands, but Goedert is actually better I think.

Goedert’s blocking has come a long way. It reminds me of my fav TE Brent Celek, doing the dirty work.
Goedert is why I didn’t really react when they let Ertz go. I think Goedert is better in two areas. Blocking and yards after the catch.
