Man, I am a big Craig Robertson guy. Always felt that he left it all on the field. Always tough, always around the ball, always layin’ the wood. Enjoy retirement Craig, you deserve it!

One of the biggest staples for the saints over the past 5 seasons! I always got so much joy seeing how stoked and amped he gets for everybody when they make plays. Every team needs a Craig Robertson for success

Man, that’s awesome he retired as a Saint. Congratulations. Craig Robertson was one of the best undrafted LBs of the last 25 years. He always put his team 1st and always overachieved. LB is a deep, competitive position. I’ve seen really talented players never get a shot or hit the IR too early and fall through the cracks. I’ve seen teams pick guys in the 1st round bc they ran a fast 40 yet you knew they’d bust bc they didn’t have the mentality. As the league moves towards speed, guys like Robertson may go unpicked at draft time because teams worry about them in space, yet they forget the fundamental principal that football is a battle of will, durability, & force. The NFL Combine can’t measure heart, sacrifice, physicality, or instincts. Robertson had all of the above. Early in his career when he got a shot, he became an immediate 100 TKL + multi turnover player year after year. I thought his ball skills and ability to make splash plays was supremely underrated. He came to the Saints because he wanted to win. He stayed with the Saints because he wanted to win. He could’ve gone to a bad team, could’ve followed only the $ or stats, but he was a warrior with true old school football principals. He did what winners do. He tried to win. “Craig, we signed Demario Davis & need you on special teams.” Craig Robertson’s the guy who rises up and becomes captain of your special teams unit. He was one of the few that could’ve lined up at any LB spot and I wouldn’t have to worry. His career path should be shown as an example to young players entering the league. It doesn’t matter if people say you’re too slow or you’re too ‘fill in the blank.’ Football is still a game of will, and that dude was a bona fide Bad@$$.

He should come back and coach with the Saints
