In this class there are no DT who could be picked in the 1st round but if you are going for a DT in the first round in this class when you already have 3 DT is not a great idea because there are other needs to improve so DT draft can be done in the later rounds. That’s my take don’t hate.

Barmore most definitely could be picked in the 1st. You draft for more than just one season. The Browns can and will probably lose 3 DT’s after this season leaving the Cupboard completely empty…Then you are in a compromised position with FA’s and the 2022 draft, which BTW, is very weak at DT.
I wouldn’t go Barmore in the 1st, but I expect a massive run on DT’s in the 2nd, leaving not much there when it finally gets to the Browns

Man that is a tough call.
The corner draft is actually deep after the two or three absolute studs that will go in round one.
I probably would go Barmore and then corner in round 2…Maybe even trade up to get a guy I like.
This is why I’d like to see Clowney sign a one year deal. Not a great player anymore but it leaves you with so many draft options

Greedy got injured because he sucks at tackling. Ronnie Harrison also got injured from a bad tackle

The browns need to get one of the top 4 corners. My preference is horn but he is probably gone by 16
Caleb Farley is my guy, and would be a major steal if he slides. He’s a rare corner with his size, athletic ability, and ball skills.
We don’t need another injury prone CB with loads of talent
@RLThunderstruck wrong. Cb is always a need and it’s why the browns met with him and all top cbs. If his medical is fine then drafting him is fine. Players on D with injury get drafted all the time. Tj Watt had 4 knee injuries and he’s been arguably best at his position. Farley is a rare athlete with size and wr hands. He has potential to not only be top of the class but tops in the NFL. When you select end of round 1 you’re looking to take a swing for a home run. I expect Newsome, Surtain, and Horn to all be off the board before 26 and maybe even Farley too.
A really deep draft for corners.
Regardless of Clowney, I’d still draft an edge rusher at #26 due to the strength of this cornerback class.
I’d then take 3 corners; early, middle and late.
Kelvin Joseph, Melafonwu, Kary Vincent, Robert Rochelle, Trill Williams, Farley and Stokes if they drop.
I also really like Israel Muakuamu; big, strong, fast, intelligent kid who many have down as a safety.
3 of those boys and our secondary is stacked.
