I first saw him play along with Lydell Mitchell at Penn State. Always a class act. Today’s players could learn much from Franco’s humility and benevolence.
RIP Franco. πŸ™

This is so sad 😒 to hear he was always such a responsible and respectful individual on and off the field. I send my blessing to his family. Life moves so fast and he was a true steeler in every facet of the best of the best .Number 32 is shining brighter now. Rest now ❀

Franco Harris is the best running back in Steelers history and the centerpiece of the offense for the 70s teams, especially the first 2 Super Bowls. Many of us lost one of our childhood heroes, not just a football player. Mr. Harris will live on forever in our hearts.

I told one of my bosses higher ups about franco Harris’s passing. He said “I know he went to the same high school as me.” Rancocas high school in Burlington County nj. I am extremely saddened to hear about such an iconic running back to pass away days before his jersey retirement. We lost an amazing and great steelers legend in franco Harris. My condolences go out to his family and his teammates. Rest in peace franco Harris. You will be missed greatly.😒

Didn’t just lose a legend but good man among all else. He embraced the city like no other.

I don’t know the man of course, but I loved seeing him at Steeler games, he would always be waving the towel, a big smile on his face, he always seemed so honorable and contrite, I loved that about Franco and those guys from the 1970’s put the Steelers on the map and are the reason they are what they are now. Franco was so happy to be a Steeler.
